SOPHIA

✺✺✺✺✺

I am on my way to the hospital right now.

I got the news that Amanda is awake. I am so happy that she is finally awake and okay.

Ashton called me to tell me to be extra sensitive with her because she is very confused. I am not exactly sure what he means by that, but I am going to try my best to be careful around her nonetheless.

Luke and I are going together, and no, we are still not official. I am okay with not having a title, I know what we are and how we treat each other. We do not need a label to call ourselves for the public. I do not care to please anyone, so it is not extremely important to me.

Michael is still with Jess, and they are great together. I think they are an admirable couple. They do not really know it, but they are so alike and just plain out adorable together. I hope the best for them honestly.

They promised to meet us at the hospital right now, so we will see them soon. Thankfully, things are not awkward between us. It all worked out.

Luke with myself and Michael with Jess.

That's how it was meant to be. Michael and I are better off as best friends. He is just an amazing friend that I have known since our childhood. I truly wish to keep it that way with Michael.

"Are you ready," Luke asks me, interrupting my thoughts.

"Yeah," I yell back since he is in another room.

"Okay, let's go," he says in a normal volume since we are now in the same room.

I still cannot get over his effortless beauty.

This boy means so much to me. So much has happened in the past few months, both good and bad.

Somehow we have made it through it all. There has been rough patches, but we made it to the other side of the rocky road.

"Sophia, babe, hey," Luke says, breaking me out of my deep thoughts.

"Oh, hey, what?"

"I asked you if you were ready to go."

"Oh, yeah. I am, let me just slip on some shoes."

"Are you okay?"

"Yes, babe. Come on, let's go," I say while kissing his soft lips.

His cheeks blush ever so slightly, but he tries to act completely normal.

It still surprises me that he is not used to physical contact. The reason behind him not liking genuine physical contact is truly sad. He has not told me the full reason, just small snips of it. But what Luke told me was enough for me to feel a strong aching pain for him.

"Okay, let's go see Amanda, Babe," Luke says while holding out his hand for me to hold.

I smile at him and intertwine our fingers.

We shut the door behind us and start our trip to the hospital that awaits possible complications but also exciting things.

Once we actually set foot in the hospital parking lot, I realized I was nervous to actually talk to my best friend after three months.

That is a very long time.

Things could have changed in that period of time. I am not sure if I have personally changed, but I could not tell since the difference would have happened gradually.
