Chapter 78

( A/n: Part 2 of We are Family Part 2 )

Hiccup was trying to think of a plan to get out of his and Buzz's cell, and either of them noticed, that the three Scale walker toddlers were awake, in their human bodies, and were watching Hiccup curiously. Then the three toddlers hid in the corner of their cage when Alvin and Savage came to the dungeons with Mildew, who was being pushed by Alvin.

Mildew: Alvin, I gave you what you wanted. We had a deal!

Alvin: I didn't like that deal. So I changed it.

Alvin pushed Mildew into the cage across from Hiccup and Buzz's. The girl Scale walker dragonet peaked at what was happening from the cage with a raised brow, Buzz noticed this, and saw that the girl seemed to be slightly more intelligent than her two identical siblings, who pulled their sister back to the corner of their cage to hide.

Savage: Oh, I believe the three of you know each other. Don't get too chummy. Mildew's hours are numbered. Muck like you two and the night fury.

Alvin then snatched Mildew's pet sheep Fungus, away from Mildew. Fungus bleats in protest as the outcast closed the cage door on Mildew.

Mildew: No! What are you doing with me Fungus?

Alvin: Preparing your final meal. It's lamb.

Alvin then walked away with the sheep as Mildew gasped and desperately held his hand out of his cage towards the sheep.

Mildew: No! Fungus!

The girl dragonet growled at Alvin in response when he walked past her and her brother's cage.

Alvin: ( ignore the dragonet's growl ) Berkians. Still as dumb as the day I left.

Mildew then sinked to the floor, sobbing.

Mildew: ( sobs: ) What have I done?

When Alvin and Savage left. Hiccup and Buzz felt bad for the old man after seeing what happened. They then quickly turned their heads when they heard something ram into metal, they saw that the girl dragonet was trying to break down the cage door by ramming her head at the bars while her brothers were trying to chew through the bars.

Hiccup: What are they-

Buzz: ( quietly, to Hiccup: ) They're MudScales, one of the strongest kind of Scale walkers. And from the looks of it, they're trying to use their strength to escape.

The girl MudScale dragonet saw what her brothers were doing and angrily hissed at them to tell them to stop chewing at the bars, which they listened.

Buzz: ( chuckles ) ( quietly, to Hiccup: ) And from the looks of it the girl is the leader.

The girl MudScale dragonet then angrily huffed after she rammed her head at the cage bars one last time before giving up.

( Somewhere on Outcast Island )

Two Outcast were watching as an Egg Biter, aka Goofball, with confusion as the dragon was trying to eat a rock that can barely fit in his mouth. And because they were distracted by the Egg Biter, Meryl, who was now in her dragon body, creeped up behind the two Outcasts and stunned them with her stinger, making freeze in place, unable to move or talk. Meryl then gestured Goofball to follow her, and the two went off farther within Outcast Island.

( With Onyx and the others )

Stoick, Gobber, and the other riders landed on the Isle of Night after Astrid found a fake Night fury and after the twins blew it into pieces.

Stoick: ( to Onyx and Gobber: ) Do your thing.

Onyx nods his head before he and Gobber both picked up a piece of the fake Night fury and sniffed it before Onyx started sniffing the ground.

Gobber: ( to Fishlegs, while holding the piece of the fake Night fury to the teen: ) Smell this.

Fishlegs gags at the smell coming from the fake Night fury piece.

Gobber: Nasty, isn't it?

Tuffnut: Oh, I wanna smell! Put it near my face.

Gobber: ( ignores Tuffnut ) This false head was made of dragon skin then covered in ash from a charred Loki tree.

Onyx then began angrily growling as he caught a scent that was very familiar to him.

Snotlout: Loki tree? Never heard of it. And what's with Onyx?

Stoick: Because Onyx knows the only place Loki trees grow in...

Onyx: ( angrily, with a growl: ) Outcast Island.

Fishlegs: Oh, no. Hiccup, Silver, and Buzz are on Outcast Island.

Onyx: Nope, only Hiccup and Buzz. And bad news is, Buzz is wounded and Meryl already passed by here, so that means...

Astrid: Meryl is going to Outcast Island by herself to save them.

Gobber: Even for a Scalewalker dragon rider, the lass won't be able to fight off the outcasts by herself.

Stoick: Good thing we are heading straight to Outcast Island then. Onyx, lead the way.

Onyx quickly got on Fáfnir and took off, the rest of the group quickly followed behind the two gentle giants.

( Back on Outcast Island )

Mildew, Buzz, and the MudScale dragonets watched as Hiccup was trying to dig a hole with a rock. The MudScale dragonets then to one of the piles of fur blankets and began burrowing themselves into them for warmth.

Mildew: Really, this is hard to watch.

Hiccup: What now?

Mildew: ( to Hiccup: ) Well, I just thought Stoick raised a smarter boy than this. You two will never save your dragon and those little scale walkers by sitting in this cell, digging in the dirt. You both need to get to them...and soon!

Buzz: ( with an annoyed expression: ) And how would you suggest we do that?

Mildew: By giving Alvin what he wants.-

The two Vikings and Hiveling then heard growling and snarling coming from the dragonets' cage. The two dragonet boys were circling each other while snarling and growling at each other, while their sister growled at them in attempt to get them to stop.

Mildew: Starting with them, if you don't want to risk Alvin hurting them because of a little fight.

Hiccup and Buzz both shared a worried look as the two MudScale brothers started wrestling each other, and tried to bite each other while their sister was trying to pull them away from each other.
