Meryl, Onyx, Fáfnir, and Goofball were flying beside the other riders in search of Trader Johann, as Snotlout had told the two Scalewalkers, Fishlegs, and the twins that he and Astrid were going to help Hiccup and Toothless, who were going to try to go by themselves but was caught, to look for the trader as Johann was going to deliver something to Stoick but was late.
Tuffnut: Hey, Hiccup, Snotlout told us there'll be salmon. And I love lox.
Hiccup: I'm pretty sure I said " Don't tell the others. "
Snotlout: And I'm pretty sure I didn't listen to you.
Meryl: Plus, I would've found out about it sooner or later, Hiccup.
Fishlegs: Hiccup, aren't you always saying it's better when we work as a team?
Hiccup: Ah... Next time I say that, just slap me in the face.
Ruffnut: I'll do it right now.
Tuffnut: She will. And she slaps like a guy. It's awesome! Watc-
Meryl: How about no.
Onyx and Astrid then see something floating in the ocean, and Astrid points at it.
Astrid: Hey! Look!
Meryl: Johann?
Johann was currently floating on a large piece of wood, struggling to stay awake.
Snotlout: I thought he had a bigger boat than that.
Hiccup: Come on, gang. Let's check it out!
Onyx: On it.
Onyx and Fáfnir flew down and rescued Trader Johann, and the riders landed on a nearby island.
Onyx: Johann, are you alright?
Trader Johann: The fog, giant bug dragon... The fog...
Onyx: Giant bug dragon?
Meryl: He's probably still in shock.
Hiccup: Johann, where is your ship?
Trader Johann: No idea. All I know is, one minute, I was sailing in a perfectly calm sea, the wind at my back, and the next thing I know, my entire ship is pulled out from under me, I'm shark bait and a giant terrifying bug dragon came out of nowhere and gave me this ( shows a, what looked like a bug sting on his arm ) and I passed out for what I believe, a couple of hours.
Onyx looks at the sting on Johann's arm, but he didn't know what kind of dragon made it.
Hiccup: I don't understand.
Trader Johann: I do. I was three days late and trying to make up time and I got too close!
Hiccup: Too close to what?
Trader Johann: Too close to... Breakneck Bog!
The Riders, except Meryl and Onyx: Breakneck Bog...
