𝐒𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬. 𝟗

It was 8 at night and Enola came back from John B's. She told John B that she could walk home herself. She felt uncomfortable and unsure about so many things so she didn't want to spend another minute with John B. Although she still very much had feelings for him.

As Enola made her way inside. She heard talking going on in the dining room. It was Wheezie, Sarah, Rafe, and surprisingly Topper. It all sounded light hearted as well. Enola wanted to join on in, but she was slightly afraid she'd come off, off-putting because of how she currently feels, but she went on anyways.

The room then went silent and Enola rolled her eyes. "Don't get all awkward now that I arrived! How rude", Enola said as they all started chuckling.

"We're sorry, we just assumed you wouldn't come back home or something", Rafe said. "Seriously? It's a school night, I couldn't do that to myself", Enola said with a chuckle. "But it's not like dad cares much anymore", Rafe said as Enola looked down a bit. "Well yeah.. but my sleep mattered regardless heh", Enola said as she then took a seat next to Sarah.

"I'm sorry guys.. we should be a happy family.. dad isn't being nice at all.. and he's like a man.. I don't understand it", Wheezie said as Rafe patted her back. "One day you'll better understand but it's better for now to just be blinded by some things. Enjoy your life sis", Rafe said as Wheezie smiled. "I will.. and I hope you will too now that you get to go to college", Wheezie said as Enola's eyes widened.

"You got in!", Enola shouted in excitement. "I did!", Rafe shouted back as they both got up and hugged each other. "I'm so happy for you! This is great! You get a happy ending!", Enola said as she started crying tears of joy.

Wheezie, Sarah, and Topper were in awe of the situation and Topper decided that they all should celebrate. But since it was a school night, they decided to wait till Friday, but Topper wanted to plan it all with Sarah, Enola, and Wheezie. Just to surprise Rafe.

Enola was thinking in the back of her mind that she wanted Sarah and Topper to surprise them with the fact that they're dating. But she didn't bring it up, she didn't feel quite right to say anything about relationships anymore.

After tonight, she feels like a failure in them. It was only the start of officiation, and it went downhill.

Sarah noticed that Enola started looking slightly more pale, and she was biting her lip. Something she realized that Enola and Rafe do when they're nervous, lost, or annoyed.

"Enola um can we talk, it's something spectacular", Sarah said winking at Topper so everyone else would think it was about the surprise when it wasn't.

Sarah and Enola were in a little dark space with some light.

"So I don't know about this surprise thingy, I mean I think I'll be good with finding food though, like snacks. And you're pretty good with crafts so you can get decorations..", Enola said as Sarah cut her off. "John B, I wanted ask about John B", Sarah said as Enola cocked her eyebrow.

"What.. why", Enola asked nervously. "Well you were with him and even when you walked into the dinning room you looked pale. And usually he walks you home", Sarah said as Enola sighed. "So tell me sis, what happened".

"Don't assume that something happened.. I mean we officiated things today so it's all good", Enola said trying to smile.

"I mean that's amazing! But.. please, be honest. Something must've happened", Sarah said.

"Oh pleas-", Enola said as Sarah got closer to Enola and moved her hair back more. Revealing marks all over her neck. From when John B kissed her there repeatedly. Enola then slapped Sarah's hand away and jerked back.

"What are you getting out of this!", Enola shouted slightly so that she wouldn't draw much attention.

"Your last boyfriend was highly intimate with you and that was it.. he used you and only to just think of me but you ran with it for a while, and after that, you vouched to have something meaningful. And although you and John B have gotten to know each other for a bit, but like you said, you guys didn't officiate things and you've only just did.", Sarah said as Enola rolled her eyes.

"Okay.. this isn't really going anywhere, what are you even trying to say", Enola asked.

"Did you guys have sex?", Sarah asked as Enola was taken back. "Oh my gosh Sarah! No we did not! Yes me and John B kiss and I guess these hickeys is a bigger step but that's about it. It was a little fun since we're officially dating. Don't worry, I wouldn't rush to have sex and he understands that. See it's all comfortable", Enola said with a smile as she was dying inside deep down.

"Oh.. well sorry for doubting, just have to look out for my sis but I'm so proud of youuu, this is perfect! I mean this is motivating me to come clean about me and Topper", Sarah said chuckling.

"Well I mean you guys can tonight", Enola said hoping Sarah would agree. "Maybe it'll distract my mind from..well never mind", Enola said as she was about to actually say the truth.

"Oh well um okay.. but yeah I'll talk to Topper and we'll definitely get this over with tonight! It's about timeee", Sarah said as she grabbed Enola's hands and started jumping.

Soon the two girls came back to everyone else and then Sarah pulled out her phone to text Topper. It was obvious they were texting each other as they're were the only ones with their phones out so Wheezie questioned it. Rafe then looked at them as well as Enola sat quietly.

Sarah then looked at Topper and nodded before they both stood up. They then finally confessed their relationship. Said how long they were together and why they love each other so much and that it was hard to hide. But they did it because they wanted to give Rafe peace. Rafes face got red and then it didn't. He then took a breath and simply said okay and that he doesn't mind it. After everything he is just glad to finally be free and for others to be happy that he doesn't mind, is great in his eyes. Which left Sarah and Topper so relieved and glad to finally be out.

The night just kept getting good for almost everyone.

"Wait where's Rose and Ward", Rafe asked. "No longer calling him dad", Wheezie asked with a slight chuckle.

"Don't question ittt", Rafe said as playfully nudged Wheezie. "They went out for dinner though.. He texted me about it, I didn't answer though", Sarah said.

Rafe then took a deep breath and sat down. "Okay.. I know me and Ward.. we'll probably never be on good terms.. he's a coward and he's an ass father.. he shouldn't use his past to ruin me! I mean I'm his child, his son, not him. But he's so fucked up and selfish to care. But that doesn't mean you guys have to shut him out. I mean you're probably his favorite princess Sarah.. so you don't have to ignore him for me. Just do it on your own terms or not.. same thing with you Enola..", Rafe said.

"Thanks for saying that Rafe but, I'm also doing by the best of heart. I care about you more than I show. I love dad so much.. but it hurts how he's caring to me and not to you... that's not a real dad..", Sarah said as Rafe nodded.

"And.. as long as dad is aware that I'm closest to you.. he'll probably slightly treat me the same.. so I doubt even if I try talking to him, things will come across clear among each other.. but it's okay, I'll be okay", Enola said with a smile.

"Well good, I'm glad we're all good. I never expected to see the light of this but it's great it's appeared.. let's just hope frat boy rafe won't pop up at college.. I have to relinquish that title for a longgg time", Rafe said as he and everyone else started laughing.

They all then got some cheddar popcorn, M&Ms, and pretzels and decided to play some board games and card games before 11 pm. They didn't know when Rose and Ward would get home, but they also didn't care.
