The park was bathed in the warm glow of the setting sun, casting a serene atmosphere over the playground. Piccolo sat on a bench, a little unease in his posture as he watched over Pan, who was playing with her toys nearby.

Meanwhile, you, a single mom, were keeping a watchful eye on your three-year-old child. They played with a colorful set of blocks, building and knocking down towers with unbridled enthusiasm. You couldn't help but smile as you watched your little one's eyes light up with joy.

Pan, on the other hand, had been observing your child from afar, tugged at Piccolo's arm. "Mr. Piccolo, can I play with the other kid over there?"

Piccolo, still not entirely comfortable in such a social setting, was taken aback by her request. He scanned the area and realized Pan was pointing toward your child. He gave a short nod and watched with interest as Pan bounded over to your child. "Can I play with you?"

Your child looked up at you with eager eyes, silently asking for your permission. You exchanged a warm smile with them and nodded, giving your consent. Your child beamed and extended a small hand to Pan.

As they started to play together, you noticed Piccolo watching the interaction from a distance. His usually stoic expression held a touch of curiosity, and you couldn't help but feel his eyes on you.

With a friendly wave, you caught Piccolo's attention, and he blushed slightly before waving back. Encouraged by your gesture, he made his way over to you.

"Hey," he greeted, his voice surprisingly gentle for the Namekian.

"Hello," you replied, offering a friendly smile. "I'm (Y/N). It's nice to meet you."

"Piccolo" he replied, his voice deeper and more gruff than he'd intended. "I hope they're getting along."

You chuckled softly, finding his concern endearing. "Seems like they are. It's nice to see my child make a new friend."

Piccolo nodded, and the two of you engaged in a conversation that lasted for quite a while. He learned that you were a single mom, and you discovered his role as Gohan's mentor. As you chatted, you noticed Piccolo occasionally stealing glances in your direction. It didn't take long for you to realize that he was a lot more reserved and contemplative than he initially appeared.

Time passed quickly, and the children's laughter served as a joyful backdrop to your conversation. Just as you were starting to feel a connection, Piccolo's phone beeped, indicating an incoming call. It was Gohan, wondering when Piccolo would bring Pan back home.

With a polite nod, Piccolo excused himself from the conversation. "I have to get going. Gohan's expecting us back."

(Y/N) understood and wished him well. "It was nice talking to you, Piccolo. Maybe we'll see each other again."

As Piccolo rejoined Pan, he couldn't help but notice her amused expression. "What's so funny?" he asked.

Pan grinned mischievously. "I saw you talking to my new friend's mom, and you were blushing!"

Piccolo's eyes widened for a moment before he cleared his throat. "I wasn't blushing. I'm Namekian. We don't do that."

But Pan wasn't convinced.

When Piccolo and Pan met Gohan not too far from the house, he noticed the unusual shade of green on Piccolo's cheeks. "Why do you look like you were blushing, Piccolo?" Gohan asked with a teasing grin.

Pan, never one to keep a secret, chimed in. "I saw Piccolo talking to my new friend's mom! They were talking a lot!"

Gohan chuckled at the revelation, giving Piccolo an amused look. "Interesting day at the park, Piccolo?"

Piccolo huffed and tried to regain his composure. "It was just a conversation, Gohan. Let's get Pan home."

On the way home Pan quickly filled Gohan in on the details, much to Piccolo's embarrassment.

Piccolo's green skin reddened even more, and he muttered to himself, "Namekians don't blush."
