8. A Jealous Wife

"Dad? Can we have a BBQ tonight?." Ro asks me.

"Sure Ro! Where's your mother at?." I question Ro before Mika comes down the stairs.

"Mom! Dad says we are allowed to have a BBQ!" Ro says before she sticks her tongue out to Mika who rolls her eyes.

I can't help but laugh at this girl sometimes. She's just like me in every way and I love it! I look over at Mika for a second before I head into the kitchen.

I noticed Mika's phone on the kitchen counter buzzing a lot. I pick it up to see it's her manager Kyle. I don't tell her that Kyle is trying to call her instead I turn her phone over so she doesn't see it. I make my way to the garage to see where the BBQ stuff are and once I found it I take them out outside.

It's the last day of summer vacation for the kids tomorrow so I'm guessing that's why Ro asked for a BBQ tonight? As I wipe down the BBQ pit Royalty makes her way out to the backyard.

"Dad? Can we ask Robyn if she would like to come join us?." Ro questions me before I stand up straight.

"Um?... Sure Ro. Go knock at her door and see if she wants to join!" I tell Ro before she jumps a little and goes through the gate.

"Why did you say yes to inviting her?" Mika asks from behind me. I turn to look at her before I head inside the house.

"Um? Because she's my friend and I would like her to come." I tell Mika before she sighs in annoyance.

"More like your girlfriend!" Oh lord not this again?.

"Babe, she ain't my girlfriend! She's just a friend!" I tell her before I make my way into the refrigerator to grab myself a drink.

"Why are you lying to me-"

"Mika! I ain't lyin' to you! And if I was fucking her which I am not. I wouldn't be in this marriage! I ain't a cheat no more Mika. That one time was all it was, just one time! Yes I might have had a beautiful daughter out of it but that was the worst thing I could have done and you still ain't over it? Come on Mika we were kids for crying out loud!"

"Ugh! I can't be doing this right now with you Chris! I'm going to see my manager." She told me before she grabbed her phone and headed out of the kitchen.

I shook my head before running my hands over my face. I'm starting to think Robyn is right! Maybe I should just leave Mika. This marriage isn't working for me no more! As I think about it more I head outside with my drink so I can see if the BBQ pit still works.

As I'm lighting the bad boy up I hear Ro come back from being at Robyn's.

"She said okay! And she's be here at 7:30!" Ro told me before she ran up the house. "I like Robyn!" Ro tells me before she goes inside the house.

I smile to myself after I hear Ro say that. Maybe one day Robyn and I can make a relationship work after I divorce Mika?....

"Hello?." I hear Robyn's voice as Mika, Ro and I are now in the backyard together.

"We are out here Robyn!" Ro calls out before I hear the gate open then close.

"Hi guys! How are you all doing?." Robyn questions as she makes her way closer to me.

We both start up a conversation as Mika is flipping through a magazine she got today. It's easier to start a conversation with Robyn! I love talking to her and we laugh way more then Mika and I do nowadays.

"You want any help Chris?." Robyn asks me before I see Mika looking jealous.

"Nah I'm good! But thanks." Robyn nods her head before she goes over to Ro to see what she's doing. "Why you gotta look all jealous like? She ain't gon steal me away from you!" I tell Mika before she gets up from the table.

Mika says nothing as she walks to the house. I hear the sliding door open then close as I make my way over to Ro and Robyn to talk to them for a little while.

Later That Evening

It's now just passed 10 in the evening and I'm gonna walk Robyn home. Even though she lives right next door to me I still want to walk her home.

Thank you for a good night Chris!" She tells me before kissing my cheek.

"Don't need to thank me Rob! I just hope we can do it again sometime?."

"Maybe we could next summer if you are still living next door." She tells me before she heads inside the house.

All I wanted to do at that moment was grab her and kiss her! But that would be wrong of me to do. I turned around and started heading back to my house when I heard Robyn's door open again.

"Chris wait!" Robyn says before I turn around to face her.

Robyn comes up to me before she kisses my lips, I should pull back from the kiss, but I don't! I grab her waist before pulling her closer to me and slide my tongue in her mouth. She does the same as the kiss starts to heat up!

I then remember I got a wife at home! I quickly pull away before I let go of Robyn's waist. Robyn moves back from me a little as she bites down on her bottom lip.

"I'm so sorry Chris. But I couldn't hold that in much longer! I-um, I like you in more then just a friend and I know I shouldn't but I-"

"Robyn it's okay! I ain't mad I just pulled away cause I remembered Mika is at home!" I told her before Robyn started to walk back to her house.

Before I could say any more Robyn went inside her house and closed the door. I heard it lock before I ran my hands down my face. Shit! What the fuck did I just do?.....
