12. Finally Divorced

I heard a knock at the door and went over to see who it was. When I saw it was Robyn I smiled before opening the door.

"Chris? You got a minute?." She asked before I even had the time to say hi. I saw her with her laptop bag and knew it was something to do with the novel.

"Yea? What's up? Is everything okay? How's the novel going?." I questioned her as I let Robyn into the house.

"That's what I want to talk to you about. You see last night I found out this novel is about us and I didn't notice it at the time I was writing it—"

"Whoa? Hold up? What do you mean about us? Can I see it?."

"That's why I came here!" She told me before we both sat at the kitchen table.

Robyn told me she's written a little more of the novel last night after she made the discovery it was about us. She told me that she didn't mean to write a novel about us but it just happened. I decided to look at it when she opened the laptop.

After spending a few minutes reading the novel I did notice it was about Robyn and I! I was shocked but it was kind of a turn on to see what we could be doing together. Kinda gave me some ideas! I closed the laptop and stood up from the table. I saw Robyn look really worried about what was about to come out of my mouth.

"So? What do you think? If you don't like it I can—"

"I love it!" I told her, the look on Robyn's face said it all. She was not expecting me to say that.

"Really? I-I'd thought you'd be mad seeing that I wrote about us—"

"Robyn, you and I will be together one day! And I don't care that you wrote this about us. If I'm being honest it kind of turned me on a lil seeing the stuff we could try one day."

Robyn bit down on her bottom lip as she got up from the chair, she hid her face under her beautiful hair. I knew her cheeks were now turning red so I moved some of her hair out of her face so I could see her beautiful face a little more.

"Why you hiding from me? You know you got a pretty face!" I told her before she blushed more.

"Chris stop!"she said moving away from me.

"So? Do you think I can help you with the novel?."

"Um? You really want to?." She asked before looking at me.

"Yeah I think we can make a great team!" I tell her before Robyn agrees with me.

We both sit back down and open the laptop back up. I've never done anything like this before so I'm just gonna follow Robyn's lead on this. Hope we can get a good chapter in by the time Ro comes home from school.

2 Weeks Later

After I open the envelope up I finally see what I've wanted to see for so long! The divorce papers! I grabbed my phone off of the coffee table and call Robyn to let her know I can now officially take her on a first date!

I told her that we couldn't be official just as of yet because I wasn't a divorced man. But now I'm single I got nothing stopping me from asking her out now and I'm so happy!

"Chris? Fuck man it's 10 in the morning. What do you want?." Robyn asked after she answered the phone to me.

"I just called to ask you when would you like to go on a first date?."

"You just got the divorce papers through didn't you?." She asked.

"Yep! So? Where am I taking you?."

"Um? Can I get a couple hours to think about it and maybe some sleep?." I laugh as I now know Robyn ain't a morning person.

"Let me know by Thursday. Because on Friday I'm taking you out!" I told her with a grin on my face.

"Okay! Now let me sleep!" She tells me hanging up the phone.

I hang up my end of the call before I head upstairs to wake Ro up for school.

I know this is a real short chapter guys and I'm sorry!

But thoughts on the book so far?.

I promise I'll try make the next chapters longer but if I'm being honest I'm starting to lose inspiration for this book, I know I'll find it again and I'm so thankful for the love & support.
