23. Welcome To The World

Chris is much better and just in time too as the baby could come at any day now! I said my goodbyes to Ro before Joyce took her to school. Chris has taken more time off from work so he can be with me and our newborn when it's here....

By the way we still don't know what we are having yet!

I went back upstairs and went back into bed to try and get some more sleep. As I really needed it!

I got up at 10 and it was the best sleep I've had in a long time. I went out of bed before putting my robe on and making my way down the stairs to see Chris in the kitchen.

He sat with his back turned to me as he looked at his phone. I wrapped my arms around him before kissing his cheek.

"Why ain't you in bed resting?." Chris questioned before I rolled my eyes at him.

"I can't just stay in bed babe!" I told him before I unwrapped my arms from around him.

"Rob, the doctor told you to take it easy!"

"I know Chris. But I can't just stay in bed for any longer, I'll go insane!"

"Okay, okay! Fine you can go relax on the couch! You want anything while I'm out?." He asked me getting up from the table.

I sighed before making my way over to make myself some coffee. I told Chris I didn't want anything while he was out. He kissed my cheek before he told he he wouldn't be out for too long, and that if I needed something to call him.

We said our goodbyes before Chris made his way out of the kitchen then out of the house. I made myself coffee and something to eat before heading over to the couch to take a seat and to watch a little bit of TV.

I went into the shower and just thought about how much fun I'm gonna have as a mother. I know it's a lot of hard work then what people on TV and books makes it out to be. But regardless imma love being a mother! After I got out of the shower I got dressed and did my hair. All of a sudden I felt this huge pain.

"Shit!" I whispered to myself before I grabbed my phone off of the nightstand and gave Chris a call.

"What's up babe?." Chris asked as soon as he answered the phone.

"I think the baby's coming!" I told him before I felt water coming down my legs "Yep, the baby is definitely coming!" I told Chris.

"Shit! Okay imma be there as soon as I can baby! Just breathe!" He told me before I hung up my end of the call.

I did as Chris told me to do and breathed as I headed down the stairs with my phone. As soon as I saw Chris's car I didn't give him time to come get me, I ran out of the house and hopped in the backseat.

I told Chris to drive and we were on our way to the hospital!....

A Few Hours Later

Watching Chris hold our baby girl in his arms is something I don't think I'll get tired of. They look so cute together! It's now past 6 in the evening and Ro is sitting on the bed with me watching her dad hold her new baby sister.

"You wanna go to your mama?." Chris says to our new baby daughter before he hands her to me.

"Hello my sweet little Angel!" I say before kissing her little cheek over and over again.

"What are you going to name her? Are you going to name her Angel?." Ro asked Chris and I before we looked at each other.

"I think we might!" Chris tells Ro and I before I smile.

"Angel Brown has a nice ring to it." I tell Chris before I kiss his lips.

"How about Angel Fenty-Brown?." Chris asks before I peck his lips once more.

"That's even better!" I tell him before I smile down at our baby girl!"
