14. She's Back

I finally decided to work at my father's company that handles banking and because I'm the son of the owner they gave me my own office.

I didn't want it just because of my father but my bosses said they had nobody else to give the job to, so here I am. In my new office not really doing much with my day. The only thing I do is take a few calls and wait until I get called for a meeting!

"Chris?." Sara my assistant says as she comes into the office. "Someone's here to see you. She says she can't wait for an appointment!" Sara told me before I tell her to let whoever it is into the office.

When Mika stepped into the office I roll my eyes before standing to my feet. I tell her to close the door before I walk to the front of my desk.

"What you want Mika?." I asked as she steps closer to me.

"You've done pretty nice for yourself! I just wanted to see if I could see Ro this weekend?."

"Mika, it's been a month since we divorced. And you haven't once asked if you could see her after that. So why now?." I question her before she takes a seat.

"I know I ain't been there like I said I would. But I've just been settling into my new life and work has been—"

"Sounds like to me you have been enjoying fucking your boss more then being a mother! But it's cool. You ain't Ro's real mother anyway so I don't gotta let you see her!"

"Chris, why are you saying that? Okay I might not be her brith mother! But I did step up when we got back together. Or have you forgotten—"

"Don't start that bullshit with me Mika! You wasn't even there when she needed a mother. You've always been a mother to her when it suits you!" I told her before I went to sit back down at my desk.

"Chris I—"

"I'm busy Mika! So if you don't mind?." I tell her before looking through my phone quickly.

"I still love you Chris!" Mika tells me before I lift my head from my phone. "I know I fucked things up when we were together and I'm sorry. But I can't get you out of my head baby—"

"Mika, you only want me now because you know you can't see Ro! If we were still together, you would have done the same shit! I told you I ain't got time for this!" I told her before she huffed in annoyance.

"You'll be sorry for not letting me see Ro!" All Mika told me before she left the office.

I shook my head before I got back to work. I got a meeting this lunchtime. And I can't wait to go home to see Ro and go over to Robyn's to see how she's getting on with the novel and see if she wants to come over for dinner.

After I got home Robyn came to mine so we could talk. I want to officially ask her to be my girlfriend. And now that I know I'm totally over Mika I can finally do it!

"So Mika came to see me today!" I told Robyn after I told Ro to go upstairs to get started on her homework.

"Okay? And?."

"And she told me she wanted to see Ro but I told her she can't because it's now been a month since we officially got divorced! And she hasn't been there for Ro, like she promised. She wasn't happy so she told me she wants us back together. I told her no on that too and after she left my office it made me think about us."

"Us?." Robyn asks before I held her hands.

"I want you to be my girlfriend!" I told her before Robyn looked down, then looked back up at me after a second.

"Chris, I would love to be your girlfriend!" She told me before she came closer to me.

I pulled her into my arms before kissing her cheek. I honestly could stay in Robyn's arms forever but I knew I had to let her go. I let Robyn go from the hug before pecking her lips before she bit down on her bottom lip.

"Yay!" Ro said as she came over to us.

"I thought you were upstairs?." I asked her before I let her come sit in the middle of Robyn and I.

"You okay with this Ro?." Robyn asked.

"Yeah Robyn, I'm okay with it!" Ro told Robyn before she hugged her. "As long as Dad's happy, I'm happy!" Ro told us before I hugged my beautiful baby girl.

"I'm gonna make sure you and your dad are happy every day Ro. That's a promise!" Robyn told Ro before Ro got up from the couch.

She headed back upstairs as I got up from the couch and went into the kitchen. Robyn followed me as I looked through my phone while it charged up to see that my lawyer had texted me telling me that Mika wants to fight for full custody now!

Ugh! Great...

"What's up?." Robyn questions me as I run my hands over my face.

"My lawyer just texted me telling me that Mika wants to try and fight for full custody!"

"She won't win Chris! She's not her real mother, so she has no right. If you go to the court and tell them that, then they will take your side!" Robyn told me before I held her in my arms.

I kissed the top of her head before we just stayed in this position in silence. Robyn's right! Mika can't go for full custody of Ro if she ain't her birth mother! I just hope Mika doesn't have anything up her sleeve to try and take Ro away from me....

A Few Hours Later

Robyn and I just sat on the couch watching TV, we both were pretty tired after the long day we both had and Robyn told me she didn't want to leave. So I told her she could stay the night.

I saw Robyn was already asleep on the other side of the couch. Her feet were on my lap as I smiled to myself a little before carefully moving Robyn legs up so that I could get up from the couch.

I went to put the TV off and locked the front door. I went back to Robyn and pulled the blanket over her before kissing her cheek. I then made my way up the stairs to check on Ro before heading into the bedroom to get some sleep myself.

After I'd got into bed I made myself comfortable before closing my eyes. I knew Robyn and I are gonna be together forever and I'll make sure she's happy every day!

This isn't a dream to me anymore! This is reality and I'm so here for what's to come next for Robyn and I!
