Jk' POV

As I raced out of the office, my mind whirling with fear and panic, my father's words echoes in my ears. That damn factory had the potential to ruin everything I've spent years building. I had to do something.

I ran to my car and got inside, starting it up and revving the engine. The engine roar filled my ears as I tore out of the parking lot, my grip on the steering wheel tight. The drive seemed to take an eternity, my mind wandering to the worst-case scenario. What if they had already breached the factory and I was too late?

Finally, I arrived at the factory. The sight of the main gate made my heart sink. It was shut tight, with a thick chain and padlock securing it shut. There was no way I was getting in through there.

I swore under my breath and pulled my car around to the eastern side of the factory. The fence here was old and dilapidated, and with luck, I might be able to get over it. I jumped out of my car and ran to the fence, grabbing hold and hoisting myself up. I managed to scramble over, landing on my feet with a thud.

I raced up the stairs, my heart hammering in my chest. The stairs were old and creaky, and with each step, I could feel my anxiety rising. I had to get to the top in time.

As I reached the top of the stairs, I saw the metal bridge that connected the different sections of the factory. I hesitated for a moment, then took a deep breath and ran across it.

The bridge swayed and jolted beneath my feet, but I kept running. I had to get to the other side before it was too late. With a final burst of speed, I slid to a stop on the other side.

I looked around frantically, trying to make sense of my surroundings. The factory was huge and empty, with only the sound of my own breathing to break the silence. I felt a sense of unease wash over me. Where was she?

I began to move quickly, looking for any sign of the mermaid. As I moved deeper into the factory, the sense of unease grew stronger. There was something in the air, something dark and sinister.

Finally, I came to a door. It was old and rusted, with a simple lock on it. I fumbled with my keys, trying to find the right one, but my hands were shaking so badly that I dropped them.

Cursing under my breath, I bent down to pick them up. And then, from the other side of the door, I heard a sound. It was a sound like nothing I had ever heard before, a low, guttural moan. I froze, my heart pounding in my chest.

With a deep breath, I turned the lock and slowly opened the door.

As I opened the door, my heart sank. There, in the corner of the room, was a large, hulking dog. It was like nothing I had ever seen before, with sharp teeth and bulging eyes that seemed to glow in the darkness.
I backed away slowly, trying to avoid triggering its predatory instincts.

But then, I heard a sound. It was the sound of splashing, coming from the pool. I looked up to see Lisa, the mermaid, huddled in the corner of the pool, petrified. She was frozen in fear, her eyes wide and her hands shaking.

I knew that I had to do something, that I had to help her. I took a deep breath and stepped forward, approaching the pool. The dog lunged at me, its snarl growing louder. But I didn't have time to be afraid. I had to save Lisa.

I reached down and grabbed the dog's collar, pulling it back. Its snarl turned into a deep growl, and I could feel its strength as it jerked against my grip. But I ignored the pain, my focus on the mermaid.

I looked at her, and for a moment, time seemed to slow down. She was a sight to behold, her tail swaying gently as she floated in the water. She was scared, yes, but there was something else in her eyes. It was a look of gratitude, of appreciation.
"It's okay," I said, my voice low and reassuring. "I'm here to help you."

And then, with a final burst of strength, I pulled the dog back and slammed the door shut. The noise of its snarls and barks was muffled by the thick steel, and I took a deep breath, trying to catch my breath.

Lisa was still huddled in the corner of the pool, her eyes on me. She looked like a frightened animal, her tail shaking in fear. I approached her slowly, my hands held out in front of me.

"It's okay," I said, my voice soft and gentle. "I'm here "
"Thank you," she whispered, her voice choked with emotion. "Thank you for saving me Jungkook"
