𝐓𝐰𝐨 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐀𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭{ 𝐋𝐢𝐬𝐤𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐟𝐟 }

I was standing in the middle of the house,looking out of the circular glass window which brought daylight into the house. It was located on the roof and was secured by using a star shaped metal over the surface of it.

I was deeply in my own thoughts,thinking about the outer world,the lands and other creatures living outside water. Recently I had more time to read my father's diary.

I have learned so many new things. I saw a drawing of the land's creatures; they are called hu...hum..human. The picture was of a man,a handsome man with full lips and a lovely smile. He had short hair which was strange for me since mermens mostly have long hair but this one... he...was...

I was sunk in my imaginations and thoughts when grandma came in the living room.
"Darling,It's time to go" she said kindly.
I turned around and saw her. She was always beautiful. Her only change was her hair.She used to have black hair but now they are totally white. Her shiny sky blue tail is matched with the blue and purple scales on her shoulders and neck in an unbelievable way. She was also wearing seashell on her hair which suited her style.

I went near her and asked"Do you really need me out there?"
She noded. I sighed and went toward my room to change.

I won't wear my sunday best. I don't think a simple reunion is of such an importance to look pretty. I just try to look nice. I have my hairs and bangs as always. Having wavy hair ,I'm just giving them a shade of pink and purple.I'm wearing a strappy top which is a mixture of pink, purple and a little blue to suit my hair. A black necklace just makes me look better,so that's what I chose for today.

A bunch of mermaids gather together to talk about their good days in the past. Seems enjoyable but not to me. Every two months I am forced to go to that meeting and pretend I am having fun with my grandma's friends and their girls. Anyhow on the way to the meeting, I ask my grandpa why does she care alot to these reunions.

" you know darling, It's important to have people around you that care for you. Since your dad and uncle are gone, my only motivations are you being near me and these meetings." She felt insecure, I could feel it. She was scared of being left alone.

After a minute of silence,finally I gathered up my words
"Um,grandma, you know that I will always stay with you, no matter what. You have me...we are a great family... Just me and you."
"Yeah,me and you." She smiled as if I have given her the whole world.
Fake smiles are the hardest part of tolerating this meeting. Everyone is speaking loudly. When we entered the hall, the first person we met was Ella. My grandma's best friend. She was standing with her daughter near the table which was filled with fresh shrimps,oysters and crabs decorated with green seaweed and pieces of scarlet mushrooms.

Grandma and Ella were so glad to meet each other. Ella and her daughter,Elenore, welcomed us warmly.Eleanor gave me a mischievous wink and asked me to follow her. On the other side of the hall,there were several young girls chit cahtting; we also joined them...
