"The King's Justice must be fearsome, the master of coin must be frugal, the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard must be valiant ... and the master of whisperers must be sly and obsequious and without scruple.
A courageous informer would be as useless as a cowardly knight."
Anna's POV
"Marienne?" I yell for the third time, knocking on her bedroom door. Not one Guard stood by her door, but I had already checked all the places that she could possibly be. The door creaks open, and I peak my head through the gap.
She wasn't there. Her room was immaculate, bed ready made, and books stacked in an organised pile on her dresser.
I sigh, thinking of where my older sister could be. I step out of the room, and look down the corridors. Silence.
How strange.
I turn to leave, but hear my name being called. To my left, I watch as Arya runs up to me, her hands stretched towards me, grabbing my arms.
She looks up at me with worry in her eyes, and I look at her confused.
"Are you alright Arya?"
"Cersei.. she has Marienne! Mari told me to run but I was eavesdropping and they have your father too, they want us all!" She tells me between desperate gasps, her body shaking.
"Calm down, breathe. Now tell me. Why does she have Marienne and my father?" I ask her calmly, watching as the little girl sifts a hand through her messy hair.
"Cersei's framing them, and my family too. Something to do with Baelish. Didn't you hear me? She wants us, too!" Arya yells, but I quiet her with my hand.
"Shit.. Baelish." I am certain he is to blame for this. I bend down to Arya's height, and give her a serious look.
"Have you got Needle on you?" I ask her, and she nods.
"When is your next lesson with Syrio?"
"It should be now, but-"
"Go to the lesson. It will come in handy if things take a bad turn. I will come for you after, but I need to get Marienne. Saario can protect you until I arrive. " I tell her, and she nods.
"But what about Sansa?"
"I'll try to find her, too." Arya hugs me tightly, and I feel her heart racing in her chest.
"Don't let them see you." Arya whispers to me, "I promise I won't let them." I reply.
We both look up, as noise comes from down the corridor, and Arya looks at me, scared.
"Go now!" I tell her, and she runs in the direction she had come from, away from the noise.
I stand still, feet bolted to the floor as I hear the voices coming closer. A metallic sound echoes throughout the corridor, the sound of a sword being unsheathed.
Without hesitation, I run into Marienne's room, quietly pressing the door shut, with a small click. I look around, searching for a place to hide.
Time is running out, I need a place they won't see me. The voices sound hostile, and I hear them begin to shout, banging open the doors one by one.
"Search them!" A voice commands, and I recognise it as the vile voice of Ser Royland. "Kill anyone that tries to escape!"
I look at the bed, and decide it is my best choice. I quickly tip toe over to the four poster bed, and fall to my knees.
The door bangs open, and I just about manage to make it under the bed in time, my face facing the door.
I can see the feet of three men, as they enter the room. They spread out, and I see books and parchments being thrown to the floor.
