Robb and I had stayed out in the forest until sunrise, when the sun brought up a new day, neither of us wanting to leave the safety the trees brought us. We had spent the time setting up the targets and trying to out-do each other with the bow and arrow- I had never beaten a Stark at archery before.
"We will need to head back soon, no doubt my father has sent guards to look for me." We were laying on the forest floor, arms cross behind our heads as we stare at the trees looming over us. Robb had given me his cloak to lay on, but he may never get it back if I have my way.
"I suppose you are right, yet I do not want to leave." I pulled myself onto my side, watching Robb do the same as we meet eye to eye.
"Well, at least I can kiss you whenever I want to now!" He chuckles lightly as I hit him on the arm. "Alright, alright. Only when it's appropriate. Like in my bed.."
"Robb! I have the right mind to leave you here right now and walk back myself!" I liked this side of Robb, inappropriate yet childlike with laughter, he just makes you want to laugh along with him.
"You do not know the way, my lady."
"Oh. I guess I don't. Well, get up then, or Cersei will have my head."
"She would never, Cersei adores you, almost as much as her brother."
"She adores Jaime just as much as Tyrion." I say quickly, was he on to Cersei and Jaime? I pull myself up, quietly taking Robb's cloak with me.
"I was on about Tyrion.." he looks at me curiously, lifting himself off of the ground and rushing to walk by my side. "We are all to go hunting today."
I nod, hunting never really was an interest of mine. "Who is to go?"
"My father, his guards and I, Jon may come, Theon, the King and all his men except for Jaime." He says the last sentence with a hint of wonder, "You would of thought that Jaime would come, but yet he insists on staying in Winterfell."
I struggle not to mention to Robb that it is likely Jaime will be with Cersei, as I definitely will not live to see the consequences of telling him.
"Maybe he wants to explore Winterfell?"
"Hm. I do not think that is the case."
Robb holds out his hand to me as we walk back through the trees, pulling me along quickly, twigs swiping across my face as he holds my hand close to his.
We listen to the birds singing as we walk, hopping over obstructive logs and foliage. "Are there any.. creatures in this forest?" I look around, wondering if we weren't alone.
"Of course there are, Marienne!" My face grows pale, thinking of all the murderous animals that could be watching us.
"But don't worry, I'm here." He whispers, mocking me as he pulls out his sword, looking around as if surrounded by enemies.
"You're quite mean, aren't you!" I say laughing, taking Robb's sword from him.
I swing it around, earning a 'woah' from Robb as I nearly accidentally detach his head from his body.
"I think that's enough of that, you'll take my bloody eye out!"
After what felt like hours of a twig ambush, we reach the end of the forest, and our footsteps begin to click as the floor turns to stone from mud.
"Robb!" A group of guards walk up to us, Robb's father Eddard leading.
"I told you he'd come looking. Go to Cersei, I'll see you when I can." Robb sighs as he sees his fathers stern look.
