Adhya POV:

I woke up to the sounds of Abhi screaming. He was moving in his sleep, shouting, "No, no, please don't, please don't," his forehead covered with sweat. I knew immediately that he was having a nightmare again. Abhi had mentioned that it had been a long time since he last had one, but it seemed that today event had triggered it.

I gently reached out and took him in my arms, laying his head on my chest. I held him tight and whispered, "Maan, it's fine. I'm here." He immediately relaxed in my embrace, and I felt relieved because comforting him like this had always worked. Slowly, he stopped shouting and slept peacefully.

I couldn't sleep anymore, my mind racing with worry. This man did everything in his power to keep our family and company together, always making sure I was alright. Yet, he was silently bearing so much on himself. I pressed a kiss to the top of his head and stayed there, holding him, for some time.

I don't know when I fell asleep, but I woke up to see Abhi staring at me as if I were the most beautiful girl in the world. Of course, he had always looked at me that way since we were kids, and I was used to it. I poked his chin and raised an eyebrow, asking, "What?"

He smiled and said, "How did I get so lucky?"

I was confused and asked, "Lucky at what?"

He pointed at me and said, "Waking up next to you was all I ever wanted, and I would gladly do it for the rest of my life, having you in my arms like this."

His words left me blushing, and I snuggled closer to him, hiding my face in his chest. He laughed at my shyness, and I couldn't help but smile. His laughter was like music to my ears, and I was so happy to see him like this. I hoped he would stay happy like this forever.

He cleared his throat, and I came out of my thoughts to realize I had been staring at him. I turned to look at him, and I noticed the mischievous twinkle in his eyes. I raised an eyebrow in confusion, and he asked, "Angel, when will you let me graduate?"

I was still puzzled, "Graduate in what?"

He grinned as he asked, "When will you let me graduate in self-control?" stressing the word "self-control"

I understood what he was referring to, and I immediately struggled to get up. However, his large hand caged my body, not allowing me to leave. I shouted, "Maan, get ready, you're late."

He snuggled closer into my neck and said, "Angel, it's the weekend, remember? No office."

I sighed in frustration, but he wasn't about to let me go that easily. He continued, "Fine, don't allow me to graduate, but at least let me pass one subject."

He towered over me, placing his hands on both sides of me, and I gasped at the sudden movement. "Maan, what are you doing?" I asked.

He simply shrugged and said, "I'm getting my morning kiss."

Heat spread through my body as he leaned closer. I closed my eyes, anticipating his lips on mine, but I felt a soft kiss on my forehead instead. I opened my eyes to find him smirking. He teased, "What were you thinking, my not-so-innocent angel?"

I playfully threw a pillow at him, which he easily dodged. He then said, "Get ready; we're going out."

I couldn't contain my excitement as I squealed and asked, "Where to, Maan?"

He replied, "Everyone is coming. We're going on a picnic, just like the old days."

As I got ready, I chose a simple knee-length gown with a floral pattern and applied light makeup. I left my hair open and examined myself in the mirror, satisfied with my appearance. I've always believed that self-love is important because if you don't love yourself, how can you let others love you?
