Firstly, a heartfelt Happy New Year to each and every one of you! May this year be adorned with joy, laughter, and countless beautiful moments. As we step into the new year, I want to express my deepest gratitude for the overwhelming support and love that has surrounded my writing journey.
This year holds a special place in my heart as it marks the beginning of my venture into the world of storytelling. The love and encouragement I've received from all of you for my first book have been truly heartwarming. Your kind words and enthusiasm have inspired me to continue creating stories that captivate your hearts.
To show my appreciation, I am delighted to share a bonus chapter.

10 years later...
Adhya POV:
"Come on, Nakshu, click the enter button," I said. She replied, "Maa, I am scared. What if I don't get in?" Ansh came over, saying, "Di, come on. You worked your ass off for this, so I am damn sure you will get in. Just click it." She sighed, still scared. Maan went and held her hand, clicking the enter button. She whined, shouting "Papa," and covered her eyes with her hands.
Now, let me clear up any confusion. Nakshu had applied to her dream college in New York. Initially, Maan didn't agree, but somehow I managed to persuade him. Now, she was waiting for the entrance exam result.
Roshan, rohan bhai son, shouted, "Oh my god, Di, you got in!" She looked at the screen, jumping everywhere and shouting, "Oh my yes, yes, I have got in!" I was happy for her. She hugged her dad, then me, and finally, everyone in the family. Everyone was delighted for her. As they all went down to celebrate, Maan and I stayed back.
He hugged me, saying, "My star is leaving soon, angel." I hummed, hugging him tight, and said, "I guess this is how Papa and Baba felt when I went away for studies." His grip tightened. Ansh came in, clearing his throat.
Maan didn't let me go as he asked, "What?" Ansh came in, hugging both of us, and said, "I am never going to leave you both, especially you, Maa." I laughed, patting his back, as Maan said, "Oh god, why did you send me a competitor in my own home as my own kid?" I laughed out loud.
Clearly, nothing has changed. They've been the same since the start, but I am glad that this is their way of showing love or care, not only to me but to each other as well.
Ansh said, "What, Dad? It's been decades since you married her, yet you can't live without her. And here I am, only 16 years old. How do you expect me to live away from my mother?" I rolled my eyes at both of them as Maan sighed and pulled us both out.
Going downstairs, everyone was clearly enjoying the festive atmosphere. Ansh mentioned, "Well, tomorrow is New Year right. So all the kids are arranging a party just for the family." I nodded, helping with some arrangements.
The evening came soon, and I went upstairs to get ready. I found a saree on the bed with a note that read, "Expecting to see you in this, with love, Maan." This man seriously, even in his 40s, will never fail to give me butterflies, I thought.
After getting ready, I went downstairs to see all my brothers standing there, watching the kids enjoy. Maan was also standing with them. Sravani came beside me, asking, "So, a new saree, huh?" I laughed, saying, "Maan gave me this."
She rolled her eyes, saying, "Aww, please. I guess even if you're too old to even walk, he still will do these sweet things to you. I am so envious of you, Adhya." I laughed, side-hugging her, and said, "What? Isn't my bhai great for you, Sravs?" She nodded, saying, "Yeah he is, But not everyone is your Maan right, okay now come on let's go."
