Abhi POV:

It's been a week since the party, and nothing seemed unusual as that strange woman warned. Still, I remained alert for anything out of the ordinary. These days, Dad has been acting strangely, as if he's hiding something. It's early morning, and Rohan bhaiya and I went jogging after a long time. We'd been caught up with lots of work, so we hadn't had the time.

I walked to Dad's office, noticing the lights were on. As I approached, I overheard dad and Surya chachu's voices.

"Why did she come back? What does she want?" Surya chachu said.

Dad replied, "I don't know the reason either. I'm worried about Adhya." At the mention of Adhya, I stiffened. Fear for her safety triggered my possessive and protective instincts. I couldn't control myself as I barged into his office.

The two of them looked at me in shock. Dad asked me with a cold tone, "When did you come?"

I responded in an equally cold tone, "Who the hell is she, and why is she messing with my family?" Surya chachu tried to calm me, but I raised my voice again, demanding, "What the hell is going on?"

Hearing my voice, Priya maa, Adhya's mom, Sid, Akkash, and Rohan bhaiya rushed in, looking at the scene. I continued to glare at my dad, my fear for him replaced by my determination to ensure my angel's safety.

Dad sighed, rubbing his temples, and said, "It's not the time, Abhi. Let me deal with this." I wasn't about to back down this time. I needed answers. I literally shouted at them, "TELL . ME . WHAT. IS. GOING . ON.!"

With this, even Anandh came into the room, and Adhya, with a sleepy face, followed. As soon as Adhya saw me, she knew something was wrong. She came to my side and asked, "Maan, what's wrong?"

Nobody dared to approach me, as I was burning with anger, and everyone was scared. I tried to speak as softly as possible, telling her, "Angel, go to your room. I will come and tell you, okay?" I asked as I looked into her eyes. She didn't budge, and she shook her head negatively.

I sighed and turned to my dad, saying, "This is not over, Dad. We need to talk." With that, I left, dragging Adhya with me to my room.

As we entered the room, I pinned her to the wall. She gasped and tried to release her arms from my grip. She asked, "Maan, what are you doing?"

I questioned, "Why do you have to be so stubborn, Angel?" This time, her eyes softened, as did mine. She kissed my cheek, letting out a small giggle. She said, "Maan, you'll get wrinkles if you frown more." With that, I released her and sat on the bed, patting the spot next to me, indicating for her to sit.

I told her what I had heard, and upon hearing that, her sleep was long gone. She was lost in thought for a minute and then turned to me, cupping my cheek. She said, "Maan, I will take care of this. I already told you, right? You don't need to worry about me. I will be fine."

I stared at her, not giving any response. She pushed my arm slightly and asked, "What are you looking at?" I shook my head, replying, "Nothing." I got up, picking her up with me, and said, "Fine. For now, I'm leaving you to deal with this. But once I know you are in danger, I swear to God, nobody can stop me, not even you." I said with finality in my voice and then took her to her bathroom. She nodded, and I left her to get ready for the office.

As I entered my office, my personal assistant immediately came to inform me about today's schedules. It was so packed that it didn't even give me a minute to relax. I went to the first meeting where some older people tried negotiating with me. They said, "Sir, your deal was too favorable for you. How about a 50-50 split?"
