Chapter 07

On that special morning, a gentle breeze rustled through the curtains, carrying with it the promise of a beautiful day. Sunlight streamed in through the windows, casting a warm and inviting glow throughout the house. The soft chirping of birds outside added a melodic backdrop to the morning's tranquility, Abhi's excitement radiated through every corner of the house.

As he got ready, the gentle breeze outside whispered promises of a wonderful day. Abhi made his way to Adhya's room, his heart filled with anticipation.

With a loving smile, he leaned in and whispered, "Happy birthday, baby," into her ear, causing her to stir from her slumber. Adhya, still drowsy from sleep, responded with a lazy but heartfelt, "Thank you, Maan, and same to you." Abhi couldn't resist kissing her forehead affectionately before instructing her to get ready while he prepared her favorite sweet treat.

Adhya's eyes sparkled with excitement as she jumped out of bed and quickly kissed Abhi's cheek. She dashed to the bathroom to freshen up, her heart brimming with anticipation.

 Meanwhile, Abhi slipped into a simple white T-shirt, one that clung to his chest, highlighting his well-toned muscles. On their eighth birthday, Adhya had asked for a special sweet, but there was no one around to make it. So, Abhi took matters into his own hands, watching YouTube videos to learn how to prepare it. From that day forward, he made a promise to her that he would create something special for her on every birthday.

As Adhya got dressed, she chose to wear a simple white top with delicate embroidery around the neckline and cuffs. It was her favorite dress. She applied a light, natural makeup and left her hair down, allowing the loose waves to frame her face. Admiring herself in the mirror, she felt like an angel.

As Adhya gracefully descended the stairs, her presence left everyone in awe. The family had already gathered in the living room, waiting for her. She approached the elders, seeking their blessings, and received warm wishes and loving smiles in return.

Turning to her siblings, Adhya was met with admiration and compliments. Rohan, with a proud smile, patted her gently and said, "You look beautiful, Princess."

Adhya returned the compliment with a smile, "So do you, Bhai."

Sid and Akkash, unable to contain their excitement, hugged her from both sides. They chimed in, "Di, you look like..." but were interrupted by Abhi, who finished their sentence, "Angel."

Sid and Akkash nodded in agreement, and Abhi couldn't help but stare at Adhya, his heart overflowing with love.

Anandh, always sweet and affectionate, interrupted the moment, saying, "Happy birthday, Di. You know I love you, right?"

Adhya smiled warmly, her eyes reflecting her love for her younger brother. "Thanks, Anandh. I love you too."

 They all gathered around the dining table, as abhi fed her the sweet adhya's eyes lit up, and she moaned in delight as she savored the delicious treat.

With a cheeky grin, she teased, "Maan, you should become a chef."

Abhi chuckled, feeling content that he could bring joy to her through his cooking, Abhi longed to say those three words, "I love you," but for now, he cherished the intimate moments they shared, content in the knowledge that their love was silently growing stronger with each passing day.

Priya inquired, "So, where are you guys going?" She directed her question at Abhi, who exchanged a glance with Adhya. Adhya leaned in and whispered to Priya, "Choti Maa, it's a surprise. I'll send you the photos later."

Sanaya chimed in, cautioning them, "Be careful."

Abhi nodded, and they both walked towards the car. Abhi was about to take the driver's seat, but Adhya intervened, saying, "Maan, it's fine. I'll drive." Abhi agreed, knowing that he had taught her how to drive, and she only drove when he was around. He handed her the car key and settled into the passenger seat.
