Adhya POV:

Everything was back to normal. It has been a month since our vacation to the village, and my happy family was back to its usual routine. Priya Maa cooked all my favorites every day, and Papa was also getting back to normal. He played games with me every day, and as usual, my dad and I spent a lot of time together.

Rohan bhai became busy with the company, going on many trips lately. Anandh accompanied him, learning and helping Rohan bhai more these days. Sid and Akkash were back to their usual bickering, working hard in the company. Maan had become strict with them, making sure they learned all kinds of things in business.

As for Abhi, he had become more protective of me, not allowing me to go anywhere. He said there was a threat outside, thinking about all this. I sat on the swing in the garden, as Fluffy came running towards me—oh, sorry, I forgot to mention him earlier. Lately, I've been at home a lot, feeling a bit lonely. So, two weeks ago, Maan surprised me with this golden retriever. His fur is incredibly soft, and he's so round and healthy. I named him Fluffy. As he ran towards me, I lifted him in the air, and he licked my face. I laughed while feeding him.

Lately, Abhi has been spending a lot of time with me. We discuss books, take long walks with deep conversations, and gaze at the stars at night. I'm happy, but there's also a hint of sadness. I've been waiting for him to propose so I can say yes and finally become his wife. However, every time I bring up the topic or give him a clue, he either diverts the conversation or walks away, claiming he has work. I thought he needed more time, so I decided to be patient.

My mom came to me, bringing my favorite samosas. As she sat beside me, I hadn't fully forgiven her, but I was happy to see her changing. She said, "Princess, I'm sorry." It surprised me because she rarely calls me by that nickname.

She continued, "I know I made a mistake. I wasn't there for you when you needed a mother. I apologize for being too strict and for not supporting your dreams. I thought all the pampering would turn you into an irresponsible kid, but I was wrong. I've read every book of yours, and I'm proud of the person you've become. I'm sorry for slapping you; I shouldn't have done that. I regret not being the best mother for you." Tears filled my eyes as I hugged her tightly, saying, "I forgive you, Mom. I'm more than happy to have you back. I loved you then, and I love you now too." We both cried together.

We spoke like that for hours, making up for all the times we missed. I said, "Maa, you know I've been waiting for Abhi to propose to me. We're already 23 years old, and I want to get married, maa." She sighed and said, "I know, princess. So, tell me one thing. Why do you expect him to propose first? Why don't you take the initiative, express how you're feeling? Not always should boys propose first, right?" I nodded, realizing she was right, and I said, "Thank you, maa. I will do it." She patted my head, and as it was getting dark, she suggested, "Come, let's go inside. I guess all your brothers came back." I nodded and went inside.

I went to the room, knowing Abhi was back. He was talking on the phone, shouting about an important file. As he finished the call, I looked at him, faking anger. He said, taking me into his arms and sniffing my scent, "Sorry, angel. It was urgent, I promise no more office work."

I happily said, "Maan, I forgave mom. We spoke for hours, you know?" He responded, "I'm so happy for you, angel. Your eyes are sparkling." I hugged him, and Fluffy, our dog, came into the room, wagging his tail. Abhi said, "Look, here comes the mama's boy. Why don't you give us some private time?" I laughed as I picked up Fluffy, and he wagged happily. Abhi sighed, saying, "Okay, fine, let's go." We went downstairs for dinner, and the younger clan sat in the garden chatting.

I looked at Abhi, giving him my puppy eyes, and said, "Maan, I want ice cream." He nodded, and we went to the kitchen, but returned with empty hands. I pouted, asking, "Where is the ice cream?" Abhi said, "Well, the boxes are empty. Did you eat all of them?" I stuck my tongue out, realizing I had eaten them in the afternoon.
