Chapter 28

Abhi POV:

As I woke up, I found Adhya sleeping peacefully in my arms. A smile crept onto my face as I reminisced about the events of the previous night. She felt perfect, and the connection between us was undeniable.

Observing her peacefully sleeping, a realization washed over me—she was undoubtedly meant for me. I had initially didnt believe when others spoke of soulmates, thinking it was mere coincidence. Now, as I gazed at her slumbering form, I couldn't help but feel grateful to the god for bringing her into my life.

Gazing at her, I saw her slowly waking up. I couldn't resist and kissed her, whispering, "Good morning, love." She responded with a sleepy but affectionate smile, greeting me with a soft "Good morning, jaan" in her morning voice.

The moment she uttered "jaan," a surge of emotions and desire coursed through me. Without a second thought, I positioned myself on top of her, gently placing her hands above her head. She gasped at the sudden movement, questioning "Maan what are you doing?" I playfully replied, "Well, I'm continuing from where we left off last time." She wiggled to break free, calling me a shameless fellow, demanding to let her go as she needed to get ready.

I relented, sighing theatrically, and planted a parting kiss on her forehead before releasing her. She hurried to the bathroom, and after some time, emerged wearing a white knee-length top paired with white leggings. Her hair was neatly tied in a bun. With a playful smirk, I warned her, "Baby, get ready for some teasing. I bet everyone heard you screaming yesterday," I said mimicking her moans. Her cheeks flushed crimson, and she retaliated by throwing a perfume bottle at me. I caught it effortlessly, laughing, before heading to get ready myself.

As I descended the stairs, I spotted her in the living room, arranging all the Holi colors. The atmosphere was lively, with everyone engaged in cheerful conversations. Dhadi noticed me and called out, "Abhi, come over here. It's been a while since we talked." I nodded and settled between her and Dhada.

She asked "how life has been abhi", and I hesitated, unsure of how much to reveal. Adhya had warned everyone not to disclose the recent events to the grandparents, considering their age. I sighed and replied, "Everything's going fine, Dhadi."

She nodded, glancing at Adhya and then back at me, She asked again, "So, when are you going to propose to her?" The unexpected question caught me off guard, and I almost spat out the water I was drinking. Adhya rushed to my side, asking, "Maan, what happened?"

I shook my head, signaling that it was nothing. Dhadi smiled, patted my back, and announced, "Okay, everyone, it's time for the puja." The priest came, performed the ceremony, and Adhya sought blessings along with everyone else. Once the priest left, Adhya turned to us with a grin, saying, "Okay, brothers, it's time for the fun part." Rohan bhai and I exchanged amused looks as the younger ones got excited. The elders advised, "Enjoy yourselves and don't get hurt," before heading out.

We all went outside to the garden area, and suddenly, Adhya started throwing colors at us. Sid and Akkash ran after her, saying, "Di, that was cheating!" Adhya ran around and hid behind Anandh. As Anandh tried to protect her, he got hit with colors. That's when a color war started between Adhya, Anandh V/S Sid, and Akkash. They were running around, splashing water colors.

Adhya came close to me with color, and I playfully said, "No, Angel, no!" and started running. She signaled others, and everyone came running towards me and Rohan Bhai. They caught us, throwing colors at us. I grabbed a water gun and chased Adhya, but she was quick and stayed ahead. After some time, we were all soaked in water colors and exhausted, lying on the ground and panting hard.

The elders watched our colorful play from the balcony of the palace, looking out at the garden and the swimming pool. They were also laughing, chatting and looking at us.
