The next day started with Jake putting his present with all other. Apparently, all the classes were put on hold, the teachers there were supposed to have lessons with will be just vising them. Some of his classmates were preparing the tables and the sweets, others were decorating the classroom. Jake just sat in the corner. No one bothered him, so he was napping until Sebastian told him to sit at the table with the others, so he did.

The teacher wished them happy holidays and all, before they were allowed to eat. His classmates and him actually got the pizza ordered, so the day was more bearable for Jake. Then it was the time for presents. Vergilia, as the class president, was in charge to hold out the presents. She walked up to the pile. Then she was calling out her classmates one by one to come and take their present.

-Jake. - she said. He got up and walked up to her.

-Thanks. - he said, took the small bag and got back to his seat next to Sebastian.

He didn't expect much from his present. His attention was on Vergilia, who found her box. She set it away and finished handing out the presents, before she got back to her seat and got to opening the box. Jake suddenly felt nervous as he watched her, waiting for reaction. She smiled lightly, seeing the content of the box. She took the rose out and lighted it up. Jake tried to ignore the skip of the beat his heart just did as their eyes met. Vergilia knew who she received the rose from.

-Will you open your bag? - asked Sebastian. He had a new tie on, instead of the one he usually wears with the uniform.

-I guess. - he answered and took the bag.

Inside he found two matching rings with runes carved on them. They were silver, while the runes were black on both. He had to admit they looked nice, he liked them more, than the rings he owned. He put them on immediately, on his pointer fingers. The size was perfect.

-I like them. - he said.

Now he really wanted to know who got them. Victoria wouldn't ask about his ring size, she knew it already. Sebastian had a present for Damien. It could be anyone, but something told him that the owner of the pair of beautiful blue eyes was the right one. Jake's eyes met Vergilia's once more, as he smiled lightly. That smile was returned.

Time skip

Jake started wearing the rings everyday. The official explanation was that he liked them. They were one of the reasons he argues with his girlfriend too, but he didn't really care. They were arguing all the time anyway, so one more reason wasn't making much of a change to him.

-I swear Damien, shut the hell up, or you will have the stamp with the runes on your face! - Jake yelled when he walked in the classroom and hear Damien yelling at, what a surprise, Victoria. Jake really needed the X-mas break from all the mess. - What's the problem?

-She was flirting with me and when I told her off, she tried to kiss me. - he said. - Really dude, you deserve better.

Jake glanced at his girlfriend without a word, before he said something no one expected.

-Off to Captain's office. - he ordered.- Don't try to get in his pants though, or he will expel you. - he chuckled.

When Victoria started arguing with him, he called Tina to get her there. He really didn't feel like dealing with her so early in the morning. Once Tina and Victoria left the classroom, Jake took his spot at the desk for a nap.

-Brilliant solution. - said Sebastian. - You should do it more often.

-Don't tempt me. - Jake chuckled. - I swear, she needs a silencer. Or a muzzle. Or both.

Victoria got back to the classroom right before the class started, Jake never saw her so angry before. He was sure, that right after that lesson ends, they will have a fight. Maybe they would even break up. She will go to Jason. Jake will spend the night with someone too. Then they will get back together, like it always was and how it will always be.
