Jake was sitting in his office, playing with a pen. He did it usually when he was annoyed. What got him into that mood, was the recent situation with Kobus and his minions, from few days before. He really considered, if they would pursue the revenge in the future. He pondered on the things that could happen, and what he could do, to prevent it from happening. His thoughts were interrupted as he heard the knock on the door.
-Come in. - he said and put the pen away.
His eyes softened and a small smile appeared on his face as he saw who walked in with a pack of pocky in her hand.
-Do you have a moment? - Vergilia asked walking up to Jake's desk.
-For you, I have all the moments in the world. - Jake answered.
Vergilia walked around the desk and pulled Jake's armchair back a little. Jake watched as his girlfriend sat down on his lap and pecked his lips.
-I noticed you have that sour frown on your face. - she said. - So I got you some pocky in hopes to make it a bit better.
-Thank you. - Jake took the package and opened it. Then he took one pocky in his mouth and got closer to Vergilia. - Wanna share?
-Pocky or a kiss? - Vergilia wrapped her arms around Jake's neck.
-Both in fact, and you know it. - Jake said.
Vergilia smiled and took a bite of the pocky. They took turns as their faces were getting closer and closer. Once their lips touched, Vergilia pecked Jake's lips. It wasn't enough for Jake's so he pulled her close again and connected their lips in the proper kiss. They pulled away after a moment smiling.
-Better? - Vergilia asked. - Frown is gone.
-Yeah. - Jake nodded.
-Do you want to tell me what was on your mind? - Vergilia leaned her head on Jake's shoulder.
-Kobus. - Jake sighed.
-Why am I not surprised? - she asked.
-Because you basically read my mind Mouse. - Jake chucked, making Vergilia roll her eyes. She didn't do it often, so when she did, it was a message for Jake that, he said something too cheesy. Then he got more serious. - Every moment, when you are in danger, it gets stuck in my mind. I think about it over and over again, trying to prevent it from happening once more.
-You won't predict everything, sad but true. - Vergilia said. - I appreciate that my safety is important to you, your safety means a lot for me too. But overthinking will only make you anxious, so relax for a change.
-Good idea. - Jake smiled. - Wanna stay here for math classes?
-What would be a reason? - Vergilia asked, raising her eyebrow.
-Because you're in trouble. - Jake smirked. - For coming here and kissing me just like that. - he added in a joking manner.
-I don't think the Principal would accept it as an excuse. - Vergilia chuckled lightly.
They heard the sound of the bell, so it was the time to go the classroom. They both huffed, before they got up and gathered their things. Then they made their way out of Jake's office and slowly went to the classroom hand in hand.
-And here I wondered where my sister could be. - Damien teased.
-Silence. - Jake said, smiling lightly.- You always say you don't care, but at the same time you're worried where your sister is.
-Oh, I'm not worried. - Damien waved it off – I just wonder where you kidnapped her this time.
-Really Damien? - Lucy smirked. -There's a reason, why Jake tells us to always knock before we come in his office. - she added, making others laugh.
-Even I didn't think about that. - Jake said looking at the ceiling with a grin on his face. Vergilia basically see the thoughts Jake had running thought his head. She slapped his shoulder lightly, earning his attention. - What?
-You know exactly what. - she said.
-Enough of the noise, time for the classes. - the teacher said, appearing out of nowhere. She opened the door and let the students in.
-Took her time to come here. - Jake whispered to Damien, getting a snicker as a response. Jake took his spot next to Vergilia and opened his textbook.
