Chapter forty

Jake and Vergilia walked through the school's corridor to their last period in the schedule when they were interrupted by a ruckus. Jake noticed Sebastian and Damien being involved with James and his gang, so he decided to take action too. Nobody will mess around with his friends without a punishment.

-Hello there. - he said rolling up his sleeves.

-Captain Jake. - Damien grinned.

-And he brought a girl with him. - said James. - After we will be done with you we will have some fun.

Jake sucked in a breath and shook his head. Vergilia already knew what was going through Jake's mind and she didn't feel like holding him back at first. Then she realized that Jake would probably kill James with his bare hands.

-See, that's something you shouldn't even think about. - Jake said. - Because I don't care that it was taunt, I'm going to fuck you up.

-There's only three of you and the girl against seven of us. - James smirked.

-We are indeed outnumbered, but that doesn't mean that you will win. - said Vergilia. - Call it a mathematical paradox. - she added before she kicked one of the guys in the stomach, making him bow in pain.

Jake and Damien grinned, taking Vergilia's action as a sign to attack. Sebastian was adamant on joining in, but he threw his punches when he got attacked by one of the opponents.

-Don't you dare to touch me. - he said.- Know your place.

By the corner of eye Jake noticed that his team was about to join in the fight. He stopped them from doing that. This was the matter of showing them that the four of them was sufficient to win. He was right in his judgement. In the end all seven opponents were on the ground, James being held down by Jake.

-First of all, you will apologize to my girlfriend. - he said.

-Forget it, better make sure to watch out for her. - James answered chuckling, then he groaned when Jake tightened his grip. That didn't help either, so Jake glanced at Vergilia, before he pushed James to the ground and pulled on his arm, making him scream.

-Speak up, before your arm snaps. - Jake retorted, his eyes stone cold.

It wasn't even about what he said. Jake wanted to break him in front of his buddies. If they will see that James succumbed to him, they won't follow him again. Once he heard what he wanted oud and clear, he let him go, making him fall to the ground fully.

-James Kobus and the rest of your group, I want to inform you that you are getting another warning, making it two on your accounts. - he said. - Also I will start the procedure of expelling you right now. Keeping you all in Rakuzan is a waste of time and space for students, who were actually worth of the place here. - Jake motioned on his team to come closer. - We are taking them all to the Principal's office. Vergie and Sebastian, please come with us too.

They all walked past the students staring at the ordeal, that happened and grabbed the remaining James's friends. None of them spoke up until they reached the office. Jake walked there first and asked the Principal for some of her attention. Then the rest walked in.

-My, my, what happened here? - she asked, seeing the state James and his friends were in.

-They endangered Sebastian and Damien, then they threatened me and Vergilia. In the end they engaged into a fight with us. - Jake explained. - They already have a warning in their papers, today I added another one. I would like to ask for speeding up of their expelling.

-Who threw the first punch? - the Principal asked.

-I did. - Vergilia said before Jake had an opportunity to speak up.

-If she wouldn't do it, I would. - he said. - I won't allow anyone to threaten my friends or other students.

-He almost broke my arm! - protested James.

-Because you didn't listen to him. -answered Damien.

-Mr. Kobus, you know the rules. -said the Principal. - Orders of Mr. Sanders are only below mine and the teachers'. Not only you were members of the Committee and got expelled from it, now you are causing problems to the President of the Student Council and the Captain of the Disciplinary Committee. You couldn't start a fight with the worse duo.

-Let's see what police will have to say about it. - James smirked, making Jake roll his eyes.

-They will not interfere. - Principal answered, narrowing her eyes. - Before I allowed myself to create this structure, I talked about it with the Major of the city. What happens in Rakuzan High, stays in Rakuzan High. - the Principal took some paper sheets out of her drawer, before she continued. - At first I wanted to give you a chance, but since you just tried to threaten me, I will grant Mr. Sanders his wish and expel you today. You, and all of your friends.

That broke the hell loose. James's friends turned against him in the matter of seconds, and begged the Principal to change her mind. Whenever James tried to speak up, he was immediately silenced by them. The Principal calmed them down after a moment and looked at Jake.

-I will leave your fates in Mr. Sanders's hands. - she said. - Mr. Kobus is expelled in any case.

All of them kept silence, not daring to speak up to Jake. He crossed his arms against his chest, giving it a thought. He had an idea about what he could do with them, but he wasn't sure if they were worthy of the redemption offer. After all, they fought him equally, and if James would hurt any of them, they would most likely participate too.

-You all succumb to the influence easily. - he said after a moment of thought. - If he told you to jump, you would ask how high. None of you dared to stop him, even though there was more of you. Now you're trying to tell our Principal, and me, that you are not as bad as he is, that you don't agree with Kobus. Yet, I have a feeling, that if some other asshole showed up in your lives, and pushed you around, you would do what he would say. Which tells me, you will cause trouble again, so I will recommend once more to expel the whole group.

-My father would kill me. - said one of them.

-Should've thought about it earlier. - said the Principal and signed the documents.
