3rd POV
Jake woke up the morning after with Vergilia's head laying on his chest, and her arms around his stomach. It wasn't the first time he was sleeping in her bed, but this one felt different. Maybe because it was their bed now, as she referred to it last evening. Jake sighed softly and kissed her hair. I was in a shitty situation in his life, and he was pretty sure that he would end up in the gutter, if he didn't have Vergilia. He could see himself reach the bottom and he probably wouldn't even mind it. This only made him want to be even better man for her. Vergie deserved to have the best version of him and he would give her all the stars from the sky.
Jake got a bit startled by the alarm clock on the bedside table on her side. Vergilia stirred and reached behind her to turn it off. Then she yawned and pecked his cheek.
-Good morning. - she said.
-Morning Mouse. - Jake answered. - Looking at you now I'm considering us staying home.
-Why? - Vergilia asked, but she already had an idea of what the answer could be.
-Because you're so damn sexy with your hair messy like that. - Jake propped himself on his elbows and tilted his head. - So hot.
-I appreciate the compliment, and I'm not the only one who's hot here. - Vergilia smiled. - Get up before we will really change our minds and become irresponsible.
-I would do so many irresponsible things with you. - Jake chuckled as he sat up on the bed.
-Get up. - Vergilia repeated.
Jake got up after a moment and got dressed. Vergilia did the same and soon they were ready to have breakfast. Vergilia knew Jake never had breakfast in the morning, lunch was the first meal he had normally, and she was determined to change it. Since she had him close for every day now, she wanted to change his bad habits. Jake protested a bit, but he gave in shortly. He didn't want to argue with her over such a thing and he also knew that it was because she cared. And it felt good to be cared for.
Once they were done eating they left the house and went to school hand in hand. Jake had a bit longer road to go to school now, but he didn't complain. They chatted and flirted with each other from time to time until they reached the school gates. They walked in the building slowly and got ready for the first period.
-I'm sleepy. - Jake whined as they walked to the classroom.
-We went to sleep late after all. -Vergilia nodded.
-We still have to unpack me today...-he said, then a small smile appeared on his face. - Can't believe I live with you now.
-How do you feel though? - she asked. -Really.
-It does hurt to be betrayed by both of my parents, but it's not like I expected more from them. - Jake said with a sigh. - I knew I will move out in the end, just didn't think it will happen so quickly. But in the end, I'm happy.
-That's good. - Vergilia stopped him for a moment and caressed his cheek. - Because I want you to feel at home with me. I can't imagine myself with anyone else or without you.
-Same here Mouse. - Jake leaned in her touch and kissed her cheek.
-Get a room! - they heard Damien's chuckle as he walked up to them.
-We have an entire house. - Jake answered.
-Yeah, when you're allowed to stay. - Damien snickered, making Jake smirk. He was about to give him a slap by words.
-Which means every day, I moved in last night. - he said, standing proudly with his arm around Vergilia's waist.
Damien froze, the only thing moving were his eyes as he glanced from Jake to Vergilia and back.
-Dad knows about it? - he asked after a moment.
-He was the one who drove me and my stuff to Vergie's place. - Jake answered.
-Why so sudden? - Damien got suspicious and worried. As much as Jake's mother angered him, he wouldn't leave her without a reason.
-Got into a heavy argument with my mother, nothing to talk about really. - Jake waved it off. - I promise to be good. - he added.
-At what exactly? - Damien laughed, before he stopped - Actually, don't answer that. - he added, earning a wide grin from Jake and a light blush from Vergilia.
Once the rang signaled the beginning of the lesson, they went to the classroom. Jake huffed, math wasn't something he wished participate in, but sadly, he didn't have a choice. He leaned back in his chair and let Vergilia explain the subject of the lesson, as he usually did.
