In the morning after, Jake woke up with Vergilia snuggled up to him. He glanced down at her and smiled widely at the sight. She was still sleeping, her head on his shoulder, and her arm wrapped around his waist. The memories of the previous night made his heart flutter every time he thought about them. Jake felt happy, like never before. He moved his hand from her waist and stroke her head gently. He didn't want to wake her up, but he also couldn't help himself. He just wanted to hug the hell out of her. Vergilia started stirring in her sleep soon.
-Good morning Mouse. - Jake whispered and kissed her forehead.
-Good morning. - she answered, smiling lightly.
-How do you feel? - Jake asked. His hand playing with her hair.
-Like I just had my wedding night. - Vergilia said. - Now I know why all those girls were chasing after you. - she added, making him chuckle.
-Screw their chasing, I'm fixated on you only. - Jake answered and rolled them around, so he was now on top.
They hugged each other and shared few kisses until they started getting hungry. It was time to go for breakfast anyway. They went to the bathroom for a shower. This time they kept it innocent. They washed quickly, then started drying themselves off. Jake glanced at himself in the mirror as he brushed his teeth, and raised his eyebrow at something on his neck. He looked at Vergilia and pointed at the red mark.
-Didn't you tell me to not to leave marks? - he asked.
-Yes, but when did say that I won't leave marks on you? - she answered with a smirk on her face. She stood next to her boyfriend, grabbing her toothbrush.
-And it's in a visible spot too. - Jake added.
-I didn't have a full control over my position last night. - Vergilia shrugged and left the bathroom, since she finished getting ready.
Jake was left dumbfounded and even slightly flustered. In the past it was always him, who teased his partners after a steamy night. He spit the foam out and chuckled to himself. It was something new for him and he liked it. Jake got ready, as well and walked out of the bathroom. He grabbed his key to the room and left with Vergilia.
They spotted Vergilia's family at one of the tables. They joined them and started eating slowly. Simon was looking at Jake with his eyebrow raised, while Damien was trying to hold his laugh in. Eva didn't say anything, though she exchanged glances with her husband.
-How was your night? - Simon asked. Jake choked on his coffee, while Vergilia kept her composure.
-Simon love, no need to ask. - Eva said. - It's all written in Vergilia's eyes and Jake's face. - she added in a teasing manner. - And his neck.
Jake didn't see any trace of anger on their faces, which was something he expected to see. He relaxed seeing that Vergilia wasn't nervous at all. He put some scrambled eggs on his plate and started eating slowly. They had a table full of different propositions for breakfast on the table to try.
-Those pancakes are great. - said Simon. - You should try them before I will eat them all.
Jake nodded at the advice and took one as soon, as he finished his eggs. The pancakes had strawberry jam on top, so they were definitely something Jake would like. And once he tried them, he added two more to his plate right away.
-You're right, they are great. - Jake said. - So what's the plan for today?
-A day of sightseeing, that's for sure.- answered Damien. - Pops always finds cool places to go to.
-For sure we are visiting the catacombs under the city. - said Simon.
-There are catacombs here? - Jake asked intrigued.
-Yes and I see you want to go. - Simon smirked.
Jake nodded, excited for the trip. Simon really knew how to make the trip interesting. They finished the breakfast soon, and went back to the rooms to get ready to leave. After that they got in the car and met their guide.
