ASTRAEA'S POV

I opened my eyes to see I was in a dark room. My vision went in and out of focus but eventually my vision was clear. I had a massive headache and I was still feeling weak but not as bad as it was at the resturant. Wait, I'm not in the resturant anymore. Am I in my room? No, I'm not laying down. I tried to move my arms but they were held back by chains holding them behind the chair I was sitting on. Something then clicked. This happened last year on my birthday. No. No. No. He's in jail. There's no way it can be him. He's in jail. He's supposed to be in jail. There's no way he could get out.

I heard a click and a door opened, letting in some light. I adjusted to the light and a hooded figure walked in. I scanned the room and saw I was tied to the chair in the middle of the room. I've been in this room before. Last year. On my birthday. When he kidnapped me. He brought me to this basement.

The man pulled his hood down. To my horror, it was him. Levi was standing infront of me with a grin on his face. Carlos said he was in jail. He was arrested, wasn't he? Did he break out? Was he bailed out? Why the fuck is Levi here?!

Levi: Happy birthday Principessa (Princess).
Astraea: Call me that again and I will tear your chest open.
Levi: I'd be very careful of my actions, unless you want Carmella DeLuca dead.
Astraea: Leave her alone.
Levi: I will, if you do everything as I say. Think you can do that Astraea?

He held my chin, forcing me to look at his disgusting face. I didn't say anything. I just looked at him. He stepped behind me and started undoing the chains around my wrists. In a few minutes, the chins dropped to the wooden floor. He ran his hands up my arms, making me flinch. I massaged my wrists and stretched my arms. I stood up, still keeping my eyes on him.

Levi: So, how was dinner with Carlos and his family?
Astraea: Good...
Levi: That's it? No details?
Astraea: Well, I did get food poisoning and pass out in the restroom. Then I wake up, restrained to a chair in your mom's basement, and have to look at your revolting face. So yeah, dinner was great.

His face dropped from the smile he had before to a disapproving look. Then he sighed and smiled again.

Levi: Still feisty, even when you know your friend's life is at stake.

He sat down on the couch across the room, keeping a firm gaze on me. I swiftly scanned the room, looking for tools that could help me escape. The door was still open but if I run out he could still catch me. Even if I do escape him, I'd have to find Carmella and I don't know where she is. I found an object catch light, underneath the couch Levi was sitting on. From what it looks like, it could be a blade or a gun.

Levi: You must be hungry. I'll get you some food.
Astraea: Is Carmella okay? Did you hurt her?
Levi: She's fine. She hasn't woken up yet and she did get hit in the head, but she's fine.

He walked out of the room, giving me one more glance before closing the door behind him. I waited for his retreating footsteps. When I heard it, I went to the couch. I kneeled down and searched under the couch. I found a tiny dagger as well as a syringe filled with some kind of substance. If I know Levi, this is probably some kind of drug meant to weaken me. I found a hair tie of the floor, disgusting, but I could use this. I lifted the sleeve of my jacket and tied the hair tie on my wrist. Not too tight but tight enough. I slid the handle of the blade under the hair tie. The blade of the tiny dagger was completely covered by my jacket sleeve.

My plan is to stab him with this while he tries to makeout with me. I almost gag at the thought. But then I replace it with the thought of kissing Carlos. His soft lips tracing my skin. His hands around my waist. Shit I'm getting distracted. I remembered the syringe and I saw a glass of water on a small coffee table, as well as a small bowl. I poured the drug into the bowl and replaced it with water in the syringe. I then poured the drug into the glass and wiped the bowl dry with the couch cover. I put the syringe back in its place and decided to sit on the chair.
