Srijita sat at her desk, her fingers flying over the keyboard as she input data into her laptop.

In her other hand, she held a steaming cup of coffee, occasionally taking a sip without breaking her focus. The office buzzed with activity, but Srijita was completely engrossed in her work.

Across the room, her friend Diksha had been trying to get her attention for the past few minutes. "Srijita!" she called out, but there was no response.

Frustrated, Diksha finally marched over and gave Srijita a light smack on the shoulder.

Startled, Srijita jumped and turned to face Diksha. "What happened?" she asked, eyes wide."I've been calling you for ages, but you didn't respond,"

Diksha said, crossing her arms with a mock scowl. "I had to do something to get your attention!"

Srijita laughed, shaking her head. "Sorry, I guess I got a bit too absorbed in my work."

Diksha softened and smiled. "It's okay. I was just thinking, it's been a long time since we spent some time together outside of work. How about we go to a café after office hours today?"

Srijita's face lit up with excitement. "That sounds great! I'd love to. We definitely need to catch up."

With plans set, the two friends returned to their work, looking forward to a well-deserved break and some quality time together after the office hours ended.

After a long and hectic day at work, Srijita and Diksha decided to unwind at their favorite café, a quaint little spot tucked away on a quiet street.

The cafe's charm lay in its cozy ambiance, with soft lighting and the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafting through the air.

As they settled into a corner booth, Diksha chatted animatedly about their day while Srijita sipped her coffee, savoring the brief respite from her busy schedule.

Just as Srijita began to relax, she noticed a familiar face waving enthusiastically at them from across the room.

It was Daksh, one of their mutual friends. Diksha’s face broke into a wide smile, but Srijita felt a twinge of irritation.

She had been looking forward to some quiet time with Diksha and wasn’t in the mood for an unexpected guest.

"Daksh! What a lovely surprise!" Diksha exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

Srijita leaned closer to Diksha, whispering, "How did he end up here all of a sudden?"

Diksha shrugged, still smiling. "Isn't it great to have another friend join us? A little extra company never hurts."

"Company, my foot," Srijita muttered under her breath, rolling her eyes.

Daksh made his way over to their table, his smile as bright as ever. "Hello, ladies! It nice meeting both of you," he said, his voice warm and cheerful.

"We thought we'd spend some time together after a busy work schedule," Diksha explained, her enthusiasm undimmed.

Daksh turned to Srijita, grinning. "Hi, Sriju!"

Srijita’s irritation spiked.
"It's Srijita, not Sriju," she corrected him, her tone laced with sarcasm.

Diksha, noticing the tension, gave Srijita a gentle nudge with her elbow and quickly apologized to Daksh.

"Sorry with her behaviour, she always behave like this whenever she have bad day in her work," she said, trying to smooth things over.

Srijita rolled her eyes again, feeling as if Diksha was playing the part of an overprotective mother.

However, Daksh merely chuckled, unfazed by her response. "It's all good," he assured them with a kind smile. "I'm just happy to see you both."

As they settled back into their seats, the conversation flowed more easily. Diksha led the discussion with her usual enthusiasm, while Srijita reluctantly joined in, trying to ignore her irritation.

Daksh took the lead in ordering for the table.

"Three cappuccinos and a slice of the chocolate cake, please,"
he said to the waiter, who nodded and walked away to fulfill the order.

While Daksh was busy with the menu,
Diksha leaned over to Srijita and whispered, "Why aren't you talking like a normal person with him? Why are you being so rude? What will he think about us?"

Srijita sighed, her frustration evident. "I'm behaving normally," she replied in a low voice. "How much more do you want me to talk nicely?

You're here, right? So, you talk like that. And on top of that, he's an uninvited person."

Diksha frowned slightly but added, "Do you have an allergy with him or what?"

Srijita's eyes narrowed as she responded,

"Not only him. I have an allergy to all boys in this world and there is no cure to it".

Diksha stifled a laugh but nodded, understanding Srijita's point of view.

Daksh, having missed their whispered exchange, returned to the conversation with his usual cheerful demeanor. "So, what’s new with you both?" he asked.

Diksha smoothly took over the conversation, chatting about their recent projects and plans, while Srijita listened, occasionally adding a comment but mostly staying quiet.

Despite her initial irritation, the evening took on a comfortable rhythm as they enjoyed their drinks and each other's company.
