Author's POV:

A week later, Maya and Arjun were ready for the wedding event. Since it was in a different city, they planned to drive there-a journey that would take four to five hours. In just ten minutes, Arjun would arrive at Maya's apartment.

Maya's POV:

I threw on my most comfortable travel clothes-a soft tee and sweatpants. Since it'd be a long ride, I added a jacket and swept my hair up into a messy bun. Glancing at myself in the mirror, I grinned. I always loved a good messy bun.

"Come on, Maya, abhi apni tareef karne ki time nahi hai," I muttered to myself. "Arjun already aa chuka hai neeche."

Just as I finished speaking, I heard his voice calling up to me. Rolling my eyes, I shouted back, "Aa rahi hu baba... luggage toh lene de!" I quickly locked the door and headed down.

He was leaning casually against his car, dressed in a black jacket and white sweatpants, looking effortlessly cool. He looked up as I approached and helped me load my bag in the backside of the car.

"Wahh tujhe toh kabhi yeh dress mein nahi dekhi," he teased, smirking.

"Haa yeh dress pehan k toh mein office jaungi na aur boss mujhe dhakke marke office se nikal de," I shot back with a smirk.

He chuckled. "Haa yeh bhi sahi hain."

As we hit the road, I leaned back, enjoying the crisp air on my face as it streamed through the open window. We had a few hours ahead of us, but I didn't mind-it felt nice to just relax for a change.

"Tune kal hotel book kar liya... tune bataya tu kar degi," Arjun asked, glancing over at me as he drove.

"Nahi kiya," I replied, flashing him a sheepish grin. I knew what was coming.

"Whatttt???" he asked, clearly surprised.

I shrugged, patting his shoulder. "Are toh kya hua? We'll do on. spot booking there... don't worry, we will get the rooms."

He gave me a skeptical look. "Aisa na ho ki hum dono ko sadak par raat bitana pare," he muttered sarcastically.

I scowled, crossing my arms. "Aisa kuch nahi hogi... can't you have a little trust in me?"

He snickered. "Wahi toh mushkil hai sabse karna."

We drove on in comfortable silence, the road stretching endlessly ahead. After a while, I pulled my legs up onto the seat, making myself comfortable. "Aur batao apne girlfriend ke baare mein," I asked, trying to keep my tone casual.

Arjun's POV:

I nearly choked, taken off guard by her sudden question. "Ek minute... ek minute... kisne kaha ki mera girlfriend hai? Hum bhi toh sune kaun hain woh lucky lady, toh aaj tak hume nahi pata," I shot back, raising an eyebrow.

She shrugged. "Are mera matlab, ajkal toh sabke girlfriend boyfriend hote hain so I thought..."

"Tum na ye choti si dimag chalana band kardo... koi girlfriend nahi hai mera," I replied, rolling my eyes at her assumption.

Her eyes widened. "Really? Tumhari koi girlfriend nahi hai? Itni handsome dikhte ho fir bhi single ho??"

I grinned teasing back. "Ohh, so you mean I'm handsome?"

Caught off guard, she stammered, "Nahi mera matlab utna bhi nahi par girlfriend banane ke layak ho... shakal uttna bura nahi hai," she mumbled, obviously flustered.

I couldn't help but laugh.

Watching her squirm was too much fun. "Okay, okay, jokes apart... it's true, I really don't have any girlfriend. It's not like I didn't get any proposals, but my heart only wants that person who will be my permanent one... till now, I haven't found her," I said with a soft smile.

She nodded thoughtfully, doing an "O."

I didn't ask her about her love life. After all, if she had a boyfriend, she wouldn't be asking me to play one.

Author's POV:-

They stop their car in front of one dhaba. It's already lunch time.

'Kya order Karu??' Arjun asked who was checking the menu card.

'Tum kya order kar rahe ho ??' Maya asked, looking at the menu card.

'Mein toh tandoor roti aur shahi paneer order kar raha hu' he says.

Maya make faces listening to him..

'Mere liye fried rice and egg tarka mangwa lo' she says.

'Ye koi combination hain bhala??' Arjun says..

'Main khati hun ,tumhe koi problem hain??' she rolled her eyes..

'Nahi nahi koi problem nahi hai madam' he says in sarcastic voice.

Within 15 minutes there order came..Maya takes her bite and moans savoring the taste.

Arjun whispers, 'Aise sound mat nikalo ..nahi toh log kuch aur hi samaj lenge'

Maya choked on her food, understanding his hidden meaning..

'Chiii.... kitne besharam ho ,khane k time aise kaun bolte hain.... chiiii..tum jao toh..dur Jake baitho..hush hush ...let me enjoy my food' she glares at him as she pushes him..

Arjun laughs taking a bite of his paratha,

'Tumhe pata bhi nahi ,mein kis level ka besharam hu' he smirks.

'Mujhe Janna bhi nahi hai' she looks away concentrating on her food.

After having some fun and teasing, they again started their journey...

Within half an hour ,they finally reached the hotel.

'I'll take out your luggage ...till then you go and book our rooms' Arjun asked her which she nodded..

They both went to the reception area..

"Hello, I'd like to book two rooms, please. Could you let me know-"

Before she could finish her sentence, the receptionist cut in, her expression apologetic.

"I'm sorry, ma'am, but we're fully booked. All our rooms are taken."
