Indra's pov
Today is very special day for me .. because today I decided to confess my feelings to the love my life ...yes you all guess right, I am going to propose Srijita that I love her.A mix of nervousness and excitement bubbled inside me, making my heart beat fast and my palms slightly sweaty.
Right now I am getting ready in front of the mirror...
Author's POV:
He wore a black tuxedo that fit him perfectly, accentuating his broad shoulders and lean physique. The fabric was smooth and elegant, giving him a sophisticated air.
His beard was neatly trimmed, adding to his polished yet rugged look. He had styled his hair with gel, slicking it back to reveal his sharp features and strong jawline.
Deep brown eyes, filled with a blend of determination and vulnerability, gazed back at him. He adjusted the crisp white shirt and black bow tie, ensuring everything was in place.
His polished black shoes gleamed under the light, completing his impeccable appearance. The faint scent of his cologne, a subtle yet captivating fragrance, lingered in the air.
Indra POV:
I already told her that I would take her to a special place, leaving the rest as a surprise. I had arranged for a driver to pick her up, ensuring every detail was meticulously planned.
I wanted everything to be perfect for this momentous occasion.Taking a deep breath, I straightened my back and gave myself one last look in the mirror. I wanted to make this night unforgettable.
With a final nod of self-assurance, I was ready to step out and make my heartfelt confession, hoping that the love of my life would feel the same way.
Srijita's pov...
Right now, I am sitting in the car, the driver is taking me to Indra's favorite place.
I have asked him a hundred times where he is taking me , but his answer remains the same: "You will get to know once you reach there."
Stubborn boy, I murmurs with a mix of frustration and anticipation.
Even the driver refuses to divulge any details, maintaining the secrecy with a polite smile.
Author's POV
Srijita looks down at the dress Indra gifted her, a beautiful off-shoulder black gown that fits her perfectly. The fabric is smooth and luxurious, hugging her figure in all the right places. The gown flows elegantly to the floor, with a slight shimmer that catches the light, making her feel like a princess. The neckline accentuates her collarbones, giving her an air of grace and sophistication.
She has to admit, he has impeccable taste.
As the car glides through the city streets, her thoughts race. The mystery of the evening, combined with the exquisite gown, makes her heart flutter with excitement and curiosity.
She can't help but wonder what Indra has planned for the night and what this special place holds in store for her. Her mind drifts to the moments they've shared, each memory painting a picture of his thoughtfulness and care.
She adjusts the hem of her gown, feeling the cool, soft fabric against her skin. Her heart beats a little faster as the city lights blur past the window, and she can feel the anticipation building with every passing minute.
Srijita takes a deep breath, trying to steady her nerves. The gown, the secrecy, the anticipation—it all feels like something out of a fairy tale.A small smile tugs at her lips as she thinks about Indra’s efforts. He always knows how to make her feel special, and tonight seems to be no different.
She leans back in the plush seat, surrendering to the mystery and letting herself be carried away by the excitement of the unknown.
Srijita's POV :-
After a few minutes, the driver drops me off at the place and leaves.
It's a beautiful beach area, not a single person in sight. The entrance is beautifully decorated with rose petals and lights, casting a warm glow across the sand.
I don't know why I'm feeling nervous; i clutches my dress in a fist.Suddenly, a pair of warm hands closes over my eyes from behind.
I know the touch immediately.
I whispers with a gasp, "Indra?"Indra whispers, "Shh, relax. It's me. Walk with me."
Slowly, Indra guides me to the middle of the beach with my eyes still closed.
"Indra, can you at least open my eyes? You're not telling me anything, nor are you letting me see anything," I complain softly.
Suddenly, Indra removes his hands, and I gasps at the sight before me. The beach is lit up with fairy lights, a pathway of rose petals leading to a beautifully set-up area with a table and two chairs, a soft breeze carrying the scent of the ocean.
When I turns around, she sees Indra kneeling down with a bouquet of roses.
I was about to say something, but Indra stops me,
"Just listen to me once, please."
Author's POV:
He takes a deep breath, knowing how much he has prepared for this moment.
"After convincing my stupid heart so much, today is the day I'm kneeling down in front of you here. You know, that day when your uncle and dad introduced you to me for the first time...that was the day my heart skipped seeing you. Seeing you in that red anarkali with your long hair...that was the day you stole my heart."
He chuckles slightly. "You know why I irritate you? Just to get attention from you. Crazy, no? I really am. I love spending time with you. I love hearing your talks. I love when you share every single detail of how you spent your entire day. Those moments make me feel special."
He takes another breath, steadying himself. "I promise to always be there for you when you need me, to comfort you when you feel low, and to never take you for granted. I know you didn't expect this sudden confession from me, and you don't have to say yes now. Take all the time you need. I will wait for you. But if you think I am not the perfect person for you, I will respect your decision. Your happiness is my first priority."
Tears well up in Srijita's eyes, leaving her speechless. Indra's heartfelt words have touched her deeply.
Seeing her silence, Indra starts to stand. "It's okay, Sriji..."
Before he can finish his sentence, she throws herself into his arms, hugging him tightly.
Indra barely manages to balance himself with one hand while holding Srijita with the other to keep them both from falling. In that moment, the world seems to fade away, leaving just the two of them under the starry sky. Srijita's heart is pounding in her chest, and she can feel Indra's heartbeat matching hers.
She pulls back slightly, just enough to look into his eyes, which are filled with a mixture of hope and fear."Indra," she whispers, her voice trembling. "You have no idea how much this means to me. I've always admired your patience, your kindness, and the way you make me feel special. I was just too afraid to admit my own feelings."
Indra's eyes widen with surprise and relief. "Srijita..."
She places a finger on his lips, silencing him. "Let me finish. You’ve always been there for me, even when I didn’t realize how much I needed you. You've made me laugh, listened to my worries, and shown me what true love is. I don't need any more time to think. I already know my answer."
Indra's breath hitches as he waits for her to continue.
