The King of Hastinapur, Paryashrava, the son of Bhimasen, was famous among the three worlds by the name of Pratipa. He was always devoted to the welfare of all beings and had many years in meditation, trying to gain control over his senses.

Today, like everyday, he was seated on the banks of Ganga, meditating. The world around him faded away as he delved into the depths of his consciousness. A gentle smile formed on his regal features, reflecting the blissful state he had attained.

As Pratipa’s breath synchronized with the gentle lapping of the river, an otherworldly presence began to materialize. The atmosphere shimmered with an otherworldly luminescence, as the waters of the sacred river arose and Ganga materialized in the form of a beautiful woman with all the qualities.

She came and sat over his right thigh, which was like a shala tree. Pratipa opened his eyes and looked at the radiant one.

"Bhagyavati, mai aapki kaisi sewa kar sakta hu ? Kya kaamna hai aapki jo aap mere paas aayi ?" Pratipa asked.

"Rajan, mujhe aapki kaamna hai. Mujhe swikar kar, mujhse prem kare." She said.

"Devi, maine pran liya hai ki kisi anya ki patni athva woh streeya jo varn mei mere anukul nahi, mai unse kaam ki purti nahi kar sakta. Yeh pran maine dharm hetu liya hai." Pratipa said.

"Maharaj, mai kabhi avanchaniya nahi ho sakti. Mera saath ek hona kabhi kisi ke liye nishidh nahi. Mai kisi ke liye haanikarak nahi. Mai ek divya naari hu, jiska saundarya adwitiya hai. Iss liye, hey Rajan, mujhse waisa hi prem kare, jaisi meri iccha hai." She said.

Knowing her to be someone with a bigger intention, Pratipa replied, "Devi, apna pran todna mere liye adharm hoga. Aur waise bhi humara ek hona sambhav nahi, kyuki aap mere Dakshinang par virajmaan huyi hai. Sundari, yeh sthaan putriyo aur putravadhuo ka hai. Patniyo ka sthaan toh Vamaang hai. Parantu aap jaan kar mere vamaang par virajmaan nahi huyi."

Ganga smiled and said, "Toh aisa hi ho Rajan. Aapka putra hi mera pati bane. Kintu aapke putra ko mere ucch kul aur janm ka pata nahi chalna chahiye. Mere kisi bhi karm par woh kabhi mujhse koi prashnn na kare. Iss prakar aapke putra ke saath reh kar, mai use param sukh pradaan karungi. Aur annt mei aapke putra ko punya aur dharmsheel acharan ke karan swarg praapt hoga. Kya aap vachan dete hai ? Ki apne putra ka vivah mujhse karwayenge ?"

"Vachan deta hu." Pratipa said.

And having gotten a promise from him, she disappeared.

The entire scene was seen by Amarsri and Srinav, who were in Vaikunth, seated beside Lakshmi Narayan on the anant-naag.

"Shigreh hi iss prakar, sabhi devta bhi prithvi par janm lena shuru kar denge." Amarsri said.

Mata Lakshmi smiled, "Satyavachan. Kuch hi samaye mei, hum sabhi ko apne kartavya nirvah hetu avatarit hona hoga."

"Kintu Devi," Srinav looked at Amarsri, "Kya aap Dambod-bhava ko diya vachan purn kar paayengi ?"

"Nahi Parmeshwari, dharm ke gyaan ke bina mujhe moksh nahi chahiye ! Koi maarg dikhaye, mujhe Dharm ko samajhna hai, uska palan karna hai, ek baar dharmshil jeevan jeena hai." Dambhod bhava requested.

"Mai, Parmeshwari Paramanandi, tumhe vachan deti hu Dambhod-bhava, tumhare agle janm mei mai tumhe Dharm ka sampoorn gyaan dungi, tumhare sabhi avguno ka naash karungi aur tumhe Dharm ke paksh mei laa khada karungi." She promised.

"Srinav ka prashnn uchit hai." Narayan said, "Kabhi kabhi vyakti adharm aur paap mei itna doob jata hai ki use dikhane par bhi satya aur Dharm ka prakaash nahi dikhta. Aisa vyakti samaaj ke abhishaap ban jata hai."

"Ho sakta hai." Said Amarsri, pondering over his words, "Ho sakta hai ki mere dikhane par bhi woh dharm ke maarg par na chale. Kintu prayas toh mai kar hi sakti hu."

"Aur safal na huyi toh ?" Narayan asked.

Amarsri stared at him for a moment, before giving him a smile, "Hum dharmsthapna hetu avtarit hone jaa rahe hai, Pitashree. Dharm ke liye bade bade balidaan dene padenge. Fir vachan todna kaunsi badi baat hai ?"

"Parantu Devi," Sheshnaag who had been quiet till now, could help but ask, "Yadi aap asafal rahi, toh sansaar kya kahega ?"

Amarsri giggled before answering, "Jo buddhimaan hai, woh seekh lega. Jo kubuddhi hai, mai safal hou ya asafal, uske samajh mei dono nahi aayega."

"Satyavachan." Narayan said with a chuckle.
