"Putri Devsena, tum ab vivah yogya ho gayi ho. Tumhe kis prakaar ka pati chahiye ?" Asked Indrani, caressing the hair of her daughter.
"Jo Pitashree jaisa." Devsena said.
Indra who was sitting beside her smiled, "Mere jaisa ?"
"Ha. Mujhe aapke hi bhaati balwaan, shauryavaan aur karunamayi pati chahiye." Devsena said.
"Kintu putri," Indrani frowned, "Devraj jaisa pati milna atyant kathin hai."
Devsena's face fell listening to that, Indra's lips parted seeing her saddened countenance.
"Kyu nahi mil sakta ?" He said keeping hand over his daughter's shoulders, "Awashya milega. Mujhse bhi balshaali pati milega Devsena ko."
"Satya ?" Devsena asked, her face lit up with joy.
"Ha. Yeh mera vachan hai." Indra smiled.
"Swami, kaha se laayenge aisa yogya var ?" Indrani asked.
"Uski chinta aap mat kariye, Sachi. Mai awashya ek sukumar dhundh ke layunga apni putri ke liye." Indra assured.

.Although he had given his word, Indra himself knew how hard it would be for him to find a suitable groom like that. The weight of worry hung heavy on his shoulders as he pondered over the most pivotal task at hand.
As he paced across the polished marble floor, his mind raced through countless possibilities. The thought of his daughter's happiness consumed him, along with the responsibility to ensure a prosperous future.
After all, Devsena, with her enigmatic beauty and grace, was the apple of his eye, his pride and joy. Indra's mind was filled with concerns and questions. Would he be able to find a match that would match Devsena's brilliance, her charm, and her pure heart ? Would she be content and blissful in her marital life ?
An ocean of dilemmas ran through his mind, each wave crashing against the shores of his consciousness, leaving him longing for a sign, a revelation that would guide him on this arduous path.
Worried, he tirelessly searched for solutions, going through the criteria of potential suitors in his mind.
"Kaun iss yogya hai jo ban sake Devsena ka pati ?" He muttered.
"DEVSENAPATI KARTIKEYA PADHAAR RAHE HAI !" An announcement was made with bugels and drums.
A slight gasp escaped Indra's lips, a smile made its way to his lips. That's it. That is it. Devsenapati Kartikeya. The only one worthy to be the husband of Devsena, he was the embodiment of the man she desired.
Indra wasted no moment before rushing outside, all the gods and goddesses were gathered cheering for the son of Mahadev and Mata Parvati who came through with a glorious smile on his face after killing Surapadma and annihilating his army.
Indra looked at him before turning his gaze sideways where young Devsena, standing behind her mother Indrani, was shyly looking at Kartikeya with awe. Her eyes seemed to be stuck on the resplendence of the commander of army of devas.
Indra smiled, before looking back at Kartikeya who climbed the stairs and came in front of him.
"Pranaam Devraj." Kartikeya said joining his hands, "Aapke aagya anusaar maine Surapadma ka vadh kar, punah shaanti ki sthaapna kardi hai." He informed.
"Hume aap par purnvish vishwas tha ki aap awashya vijay honge. Aapke swarglok par bahut kripa hai, ab hum bhi chaahte hai ki aapka kalyaan ho jaye." Indra said.
"Kalyaan ?" Kartikeya asked. Indra joined his hands, seeing which the rest of the gods got intrigued.
"Hum chaahte hai ki aap humari putri Devsena ko apni patni ke roop mei swikaare." Indra requested.
Kartikeya's gaze, filled with gentle intrigue, fell upon Devsena, who was peering at him while standing behind her mother. There was an undeniable connection between them, an unspoken recognition that sparked beneath their shared glances.
Devsena blushed and then lowered her eyes, unable to meet the penetrating gaze of the valiant warrior god. Her cheeks flushed rose-red, further enhancing her angelic beauty. Kartikeya stared at her for a good moment, captivated by her enchanting self, a smile tugged at the corners of his lips.
He then looked back at Indra and said, "Mujhe yeh prastav swikarya hai."
"Ati-uttam !" Indra was overjoyed, he then looked at his wife Indrani, seeking her approval. She gave him a pleasant smile, pleased and satisfied at his choice of the groom.
Devsena, overcome with delight and admiration for the noble warrior, raised her eyes to meet Kartikeya's. A gentle spark of connection ignited between them. Their gazes intertwined, speaking volumes of love and a shared destiny.
