"Hey Evyaan," Laksh greeted, passing his bag to Ishaana .

"Long time no see, bro," he added, shaking Evyaan's hand. He hadn't noticed me yet, but Ishaana did, her smirk made me uneasy and I want to throw up right here. Assuming they were friends, the panic I've been shooing away set in. I shouldn't even be here. I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself, and turned my head to the window. Evyaan soon finished his small talk and sat back.

Glancing at them, I caught the looks they exchanged, none of which I appreciated. It's tough seeing your own best friend transform into your bully and it still wrenches the soul out of my body when they look at me in malice.

I wished for this bus ride to end soon so I could breathe freely without facing judgment from others. Despite my efforts, it was hard to block out my surroundings as I sat facing the window.

"We're sitting right next to you, Evyaan," Laksh remarked, eyeing me that felt worse than any horror movie scene I watched last week.

"Oh, and by the way, meet my girlfriend, Ishaana," he said but His gaze remained fixed on mine as if he wanted me to hear their conversation and get hurt. And it was working. I felt hurt, so hurt that I might cry.

Feeling the moisture in my eyes I turned to window and made an oath to not look in their direction. It's not that hard. I told myself as I prepare myself mentally for the worse.

Evyaan exchanged greetings with Ishaana and then helped them arrange their bags in the overhead compartment. And I tell myself that, the regular bullying won't be happening here, though a voice in my head disagreed.

No, they might be keeping each other company as Evyaan joins in on bullying me when I inevitably get sick. The voice in my head made my head throb with a flurry of negative thoughts.

I feel like I'm a bother to the girl sitting next to me. Maybe I should've suggested switching seats, but my motion sickness makes that impossible.

"Ten minutes before we begin the trip," our homeroom teacher announced before sitting again. And as if I wasn't the least delighted to see this bus, the fact that I forgot to bring my medicine bag with motion sickness medication hits me.
