"Bhaiya, you can't do this to me! What will my friends think? What will the resort staff think? That their princess has no one to pick her up? Aren't you even a bit worried about me?" I tried to blackmail my brother, my voice trembling with frustration and fear but his tone remained unhinged.

"Did our princess care about us before sneaking out and coming home after a whole day? For the fourth time!" he shot back, his voice growing harsh as he recalled the times I'd gotten lost in the forest. But what's a girl gonna do when her family is overly cautious? We only live once.

I declined the call without further explanation as I heard him gearing up to argue again.

I'll just blame it on that bratty boy, I made a mental note, smiling at the receptionist who had likely overheard our messy conversation, but she seemed accustomed to it by now.

The resort's staff had become almost like a second family to us since bhaiya came here to learn business every day, and I always tagged along because this was my favourite resort out of all the ones our family owned.

It had nice architecture, food, and a beautiful garden, maybe...

No shit  Sherlock, but my crush was at this resort, and that was the sole reason I was interested in joining Aakash bhaiya here. Just to catch a glimpse of him and accidentally bump into him.and it was never accidental.

His deep blue eyes, tousled brunette curls, and that irresistible Spanish accent had me utterly captivated. Each time I gazed into those eyes, I felt myself falling even harder. The mere thought of him showing up here, seeing me in this state, was my worst nightmare.

I scanned the area frantically, hoping to spot him on his way to the football match so that i can hide and watch him like always but instead, my attention was snatched by a group of girls, pulling me out of my anxious spiral.

Their loud, biting conversation cut through the noise, and my irritation spiked as I overheard their rude remarks about Samayara. I could see Myra's discomfort, and my protective instinct kicked in.

"Are you really that stupid that you ran after him without a second thought?" Her voice dripped with scorn, making Myra visibly flinch. Before Myra could muster a response, I intervened.

"Are you really calling her dumb for being a better friend?" I challenged, my voice brimming with anger. My voice and presence towered over them, if not physically, then mentally, leaving them stunned into silence. I raised an eyebrow, demanding an answer, but they just stared blankly, clearly at a loss.

"No, we didn't mean it like that," they mumbled, their tone suddenly deferential.

"Then keep your mouth shut if you don't know anything about someone before making judgments," I snapped, grabbing Myra's arm and steering her away.
