Niyati: Their Destiny

1. First encounter

Yuvraj's pov

It's been so long since Maa, Papa, Avu, and I went on a trip. So we all decided to have a little trip to Missouri.

Our flight landed an hour ago, and now we are on our way back home. One of my cars was parked at the airport itself, so i was driving the car, and Avu was sitting in the front seat and maa and Papa on the backseat.

I was driving the car, the song " ek ladki ko dekha to aisa lgga" was playing in the car while i was humming the song when suddenly a girl dressed in a bridal lenhnga almost bumped into my car but i pulled the brakes just in time!

But she fell down on the ground. I got out of the car and said in anger ,"Are you blind or you have a death wish?"

She could have literally died. She is still facing the road and catching her breath as if she is running in a marathon!

Maa, Papa, and Avu also came out of the car. "Are you hurt, child?" Maa asked sweetly, crouching down to her level, patting her head.

"Paani!" She said weakly, still looking at the road.

"Can i get some water." She continued. Avu took a water bottle from the car and gave it to maa. Maa helped her drink water.

"Feeling better ?" Maa asked her, and she looked up at maa, and her eyes widened for a moment, and she quickly nodded.

"Are you okay? Is someone following you or something?" Maa asked concerned.

"No maam, i am fine! Thank you for your help, i...i should leave now." She said, looking here and there and getting up from the road.

When she got up from the ground, i got a clear look of her face. Her hair was messed up, and her forehead was covered with sweat. Her eyes looked familiar, very familiar. They have a different kind of warmth. She looks so tired, covered in sweat yet effortlessly pretty. She was looking at me only but quickly averted her gaze when her grey orbs met mine.

By now, plenty of people have gathered around.

"You all can leave everything's alright." I said to the crowd. I turned towards the spot where the girl was standing, only to realise that she also vanished with the crowd.

We all settled in the car, and i drove us home, but i am not able to take the thought of that mysterious girl out of my mind.

Author pov

The girl left the crowd and started searching for some jewelry market nearby. After finding a shop she sold her jewelry and bought a pair of jeans and top from nearby mall and changed her bridal lenhnga and left it there only.

She then bought a bag to keep a few other stuff she purchased (some more clothes, etc) and then bought some food.

"How long will i be able to run from 'them'. I have to leave this city but i can't do it right now they must have blocked every way out of the city!" She said to herself while chewing her food.

"I don't even have a place to stay. I can't stay in a hotel since i don't have any sort of ID proof....." She was busy in her thoughts, and suddenly she saw a few men of 'him'.

She got up, took her bag, and hid her face with a scarf as she escaped the mall.

'I don't know anyone here, and even if I knew, i couldn't take anyone's help. Did i do wrong running away?..... No, i didn't! I shouldn't blame myself.' she was thinking all this and suddenly bumped into someone.

There was a girl around her age.
"I am so sorry! I didn't notice...... By the way , I am Avantika Malhotra, " the girl said cheerfully.

She turned towards Avantika to apologize, and her scarf shifted from her face, making it clearly visible.

Avantika immediately cut her, "Wait... wait, you are the same girl who bumped into our car a few hours ago, right? The bridal lenhnga..... of course, it was you only!" Avantika said in realization.

The girl nodded awkwardly and muttered a small sorry and was about to leave, but Avantika held her hand and asked,"You didn't tell me your name."

The other girl looked around for a moment and said "Panchi".

"Nice to meet you, Panchi," Avantika said. She just passed a smile and was about to leave again, but Avantika again stopped her.

"You ran away from your wedding." It was more like a statement than a question. Panchi panicked, hearing her.

"Wh.... what a..are you uh... talking about?" Panchi asked badly, stuttering due to panic.

"Hey, don't panic. i didn't mean it in the wrong way! I am really sorry!"Avantika said.
"By the way, where are you going?" Avantika asked.

"I don't know." These words slipped out of Panchi's mouth unintentionally, and her eyes widened.

"Uhh.... i mean, umm.. at my freind yeah friends place." Panchi said, making an excuse.

"Uhh... okay. If you don't mind, can i drop you?" Avantika asked.

"No thanks actually she lives nearby only I'll walk." Panchi said.

"You know i am a lawyer." Avantika said and panchi frowned looking at her.

"Ohh... that's great." Panchi said, not knowing what to answer.

"Yeah, so i can smell lies. I know i am a stranger, and you don't want to share your personal life with me, but i can help you with bare minimum information, too." Avantika said.

"Well, why do you want to help a stranger? What if i am a bad person? You don't know me." Panchi said looking here and there.

"Yeah, you are right, but we have a tight security at 'Malhotra Mansion'.... so you know..." Avantika said, rolling her eyes, and Panchi chuckled awkwardly.

Suddenly Panchi saw one of his men outside the mall in the parking area where she was talking with Avantika.

"Look, you are a really nice person.... thank you for thinking so much about me, but i gotta go!" She said and was just  leaving, but suddenly his man grabbed her arm.

"I am sorry for holding your wrist  but maam you need to come back." The man said, and Avantika was just looking at them with pure confusion.

"I won't, look, you don't have to tell anyone that you found me. It will be best for both of us." Panchi said, looking at the man in a panicked state.

"I am sorry maam, i can't go against the orders, i have to inform sir and take you back ." The man said.

"Then i am sorry too, i really didn't want to do it, but you forced me to." Panchi said, and before that man or Avantika could understand anything, Panchi punched his face, kicked him on the back side of his knees, making him fall on the floor with a thud, and she ran away.

She was running for a few minutes now and suddenly a car stopped in front of her.
'I am gone now,' she thought.

"Get in the car." A familiar voice made its way to her ears.

She looked at the familiar figure and found no better option she got herself settled in the car without argument.
