Roop's pov

It's been a week since Raj confessed his.... his love and we.... since everything. We didn't get a chance to really talk ever since because everything else is not really good.

Things are not great with Avu. She either skips work or overwork herself. There's no in between.

"You know i am not mad at you, right?" I heard Avu as i served her gajar ka halwa.

"I know." I said, looking at her in confusion.

"So you can stop buttering me with my favorite food every now and then." She said, squinting her eyes.

"It's just to cheer you up." I said.

"Then it's fine. Good food always helps. Can you make brownies tomorrow?" She asked.

"Sure. Anything." I said.

"Roop?" I heard Raj's stressed voice as he stromed into the living room.

"Yeah?" I asked, and before i know, he was dragging me to our room with himself.

"I want to tell you something." He said as we reached the room, and he helped me sit on the couch as he sat in front of me on his knees.

"What is it?" I asked, worried.

"I found out.... something." He said, and i looked at him with a frown.

"You know about Niyati Industries Pvt. Ltd.?" He asked, and i nodded, still confused.

"It's Mr. Goenka's company." I said, and he looked at me, taking a deep breath.

"Actually.... it's... it's not." He said, sighing.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked, confused.

"Niyati Industries Pvt Ltd was started by Aadarsh Kashyap, named after his beloved wife Niyati Kashyap, who passed away while giving birth to their daughter, Panchi Kashyap" He said, and i stared at him dumbfounded.

"Panchi? As in my mother Panchi?" I asked, thinning my brows. There can be many girls named the same, but the only reason he is telling me this is because she's my mother.

"Yes." He said, and i just sat their still digesting the information.

"So how did Mr. Goenka came into the picture? Did he like.... marry her for the company or something?" I asked, shocked by the revelation.

"Most probably, but there's one more thing which made me doubtful about it." He said.

"What?" I asked.

"The shares were never transferred to your mother. After your maternal grandfather passed away, the shares were transferred to you. Since you were a minor, Mr. Goenka was your legal guardian." He said, and I blinked my eyes multiple times as my lips parted in shock.

"You own 73.8% of Niyati Industries Pvt Ltd." He added drawing circles on my hand with the pad of his thumb.

So i was the owner and the outsider.

"Was it easy to find out about the ownership of shares?" I asked out of the blue.

Please say no.

"Yes. It's available on google." He said, and my heart clenched.

"But there's still a chance that Aryan or Amisha Aunty has no idea about it right." I asked, hoping to hear a yes.

"I don't know about Amisha Goenka, but Aryan definitely knew. He is the director, and you are the major shareholder of the company. There's no chance he doesn't know." He said.
