Yuvraj's pov
I know i shouldn't have been so selfish. Maa, Papa, and Avu deserved to be a part of my happiness, too, but then again, it's not real no matter how much i want it to.
I am glad Avu made her feel welcomed. I know maa and Papa will come along with us soon. We entered inside our room as i heard her exhale shakily.
"We can tell them the truth! Maybe it'll make things better." She suggested.
"As long as you are with me, everything is perfect. Don't stress yourself now." I said, smiling reassuringly.
"Are you sure it's okay?" She asked hesitantly.
"It is absolutely okay, hmm!" I said, bending down to her height.
"Stop bending while talking to me. Itni bhi chotti nahi hai meri height!!" She said grufflly.
"Apko nahi ptta ki apni biwi ke samne jhuk kr rehna chahiye. Mai to bs wahi krra hu." I said, winking at her. Blood rushed to her cheeks, but she quickly cupped them with her hands, hiding it from me.
"Stop flirting with me! Shoo, now go and take a bath, tb tk I'll get rid of the jewelry and make up!" She said, pushing me towards the bathroom.
"Maana shaadi hogayi, but at least kapde to lene do or are you that desperate to watch me na--" She pressed her palm against my mouth before i could finish my sentence.
"Shameless!" She muttered, scrunching her nose and went towards the mirror to take off her jewelry.
I took a bath and came out only to find her holding a pair of scissors in her hand as she sighed defeatedly and was about to cut her hair.
"What are you doing!?" I said, and she flinched at the sudden voice. She looked at me for a brief moment and took a deep breath.
"I was thinking about stabbing someone with these, but then i thought it'll be too messy, so just settling with chopping my hair." She said sarcastically.
"But whyyyy!!" I almost sounded like a toddler.
"I can't seem to get rid of this stupid hairstyle!" She said, irritation laced in her voice.
"Let me help then." I said and motioned towards her. Thank god i came out on time. Otherwise, she'd have chopped her hair. Not that she won't look pretty in short hair, but i just love her long tresses.
I stood behind her as she looked at me through the mirror. I tried not to be too nervous holding the eye contact. I kept looking into her eyes as i removed the pins from her hair. She didn't look away either. We just stood there, and soon her long hair fell free on her back, and she averted her eyes.
"Thank you." I heard her murmuring as i sniffled her hair. It smelled good. I never knew my shampoo smelled this good.
Stop behaving like a creep!!
I gathered her hair, trying to tie them in a braid so she won't torture them or try to murder them again.
"It's okay, let it be." She said in a low voice. I was about to drop her hair when my eyes fell on the scar on her back, which she claims to be due to some accident.
My fingers brushed against it, and she shivered. I bent down and pressed my lips against the scar.
"Do... don't. It's ugly." She murmured.
"Everything about you is beautiful." I said honestly, and she chuckled, turning her face towards me.
"Stop kidding now. I'll go and take a shower." She said and was about to leave.
"I am not kidding." I said, holding her right hand in mine.
"Really!! If so then tell me what do you find the prettiest in me?" She asked in disbelief.
"I am not good with words, but i won't lie..... You are the most beautiful woman to ever exist.... You are just perfect from head to toe..... You are pretty..... pretty like the most intriguing scenery. The ones we just can't take our eyes off, so peaceful and calm except..... your eyes. Those grey eyes of yours with a tinge of black, they are stromy. They are so deep that i get lost every time i look into them. So i think your eyes are the prettiest. But then you hair.... your long hair holds magic. I mean, i can never sum up your beauty with words." I said in all honesty as she kept staring at me as a lone tear escaped her eye. I wiped it off her cheek, and she smiled.
A sad smile."Don't.... Don't do this to yourself. I know where you are going, and honestly, i shouldn't have let you be in such a place, and i am sorry for that, but Raj... you need to understand.... I am just too messed up." She said, gulping visibly.
"I love your mess." And i love you even more. I said, keeping half of the confession with myself, knowing she isn't ready for it yet.
"You shouldn't." She said as she blinked her tears away and took a pair of clothes i bought for her the other day and left towards the bathroom.
I sighed and sat on the bed taking a deep breath.
Who's going to tell her that i loved her even before i knew what it meant?
Who's going to tell her my feelings are way too deep to be summarized by just one word everyone call love?
Who's going to tell her that she's the only woman to ever exist in my life?
Who's going to tell her that her happiness is all i have ever craved for.... with or without me.
Who's going to tell her that I'll die a thousand deaths if it means she'll learn to smile again?
Who's going to tell her that she's too late to warn me about my feelings?I chuckled bitterly at the thought as i laid down on the bed. The hope inside me seems to fade a little with every passing day. But she's doing better, and that's what matters.
Na jaane humari Niyati mai kya likha hai pr ab jo bhi ho, Roop meri life ka sabse important hissa hai or humesha rahengi.... chahe mai unki life mai rahu ya na rahu.
