3. Next Morning

Yuvraj pov

I got up, took a shower, and went downstairs for breakfast. Maa and Papa were already there and waiting for me and Avu.

"Yuv bache, come have a seat, Avu is calling Panchi too." Maa said, and i settled myself on the dining table .

Before i could serve myself, Avu came downstairs in a panicked state.

"Mumma, papa, bhai.... Panchi... she is not in her room." Avu said, panicking.

"What is that supposed to mean! She might be in the garden or terrace!" Maa said calmly.

"No, she isn't, i checked everywhere!" Avu said, gulping nervously.

I got up from the dining table and said, "Where can she go? There is so much security over here. Let me ask the guards!"

I asked the guards, and they also had no idea about her whereabouts as, according to them, no one left the house.

"Did the man who was asking her to come with him take her?" Avu said in a tone, barely audible.

My head snapped towards her direction, and i asked,"What man?"

She gulped, looking at me and saying, "bhai... wo... someone was following her and was asking her to come back then.. then..." she is stuttering badly, but there is no time for all this.

"Avu, then what?" I said, anger visible in my tone.

"She beat him up and ran away!" She said in a tone, barely audible.

"And you brought her home, and above of all, you hid it from us." I almost shouted at her.

"But bhai... she was in danger." Avi said, defending herself.

"Stop it, Avu, just stop! Who even made you a lawyer. How can you be so foolish!!" I almost yelled.

"Bhai...." her voice was breaking. I shouldn't have shouted at her!

"Avu, go to your room!" Papa said, and she left hurriedly. I know my words hurt her a lot, but it was her fault.

"Where did she go! Was she sent by some rival?" I asked to no one in particular.

I rushed to the guest room she stayed in and then to the study in my house to see if any important file or something is misplaced!!

Everything looks normal , so why would she leave like thieves?

*A few days later*

We couldn't find anything about her whereabouts!! Where did she go? She vanished into thin air. The weird thing is that there was nothing wrong with anything in the house.

So why did she leave like thieves?
But how the hell she breached our security system!!?
And above all, where is she?
I just hope she is fine! Only because she owes me a few answers, not that i care or something!!

I was going to my office, but i saw someone running and hiding, and there were a few men behind that person.

I decided to ignore all this until i noticed the familiar pair of grey eyes! She was Panchi. Who are those people behind her? Avu also mentioned something regarding this!

I applied brakes of my car and went behind her and grabbed her hand.

She jerked my hand and turned towards me, only to punch hard on my face.
I was taken aback by her strength!

She didn't notice my face earlier, i guess, because the moment her eyes fell on my face , she turned pale!

"I am s.. sorry.... i uh i was i...." she tried to frame a sentence while checking the cut on my lips.

I was staring at her face. She is looking gorgeous even though she was panting badly because of all the running and her hair messed up, and she looked like she barely slept or ate anything for days!

Why is she always running? And above of all, from whom?

In all this, i forget that i was mad at her and supposed to ask her about her running away!

But before i could ask her anything, she pulled me towards a valley. There was no one around, and she was standing so close to me.

Our lips were just inches apart! It took everything inside me not to lean in and fill that gap. But why am i feeling like this! We literally met the third time today and never really talked to each other!

She looked into my eyes and then pushed me.

"Wh... wha... what r... are you doing here?" She stuttered, looking here and there.

Her voice broke the trance of my thoughts, and i realized that i was mad at her.

"Why did you leave?" I asked, anger laced in my voice, holding her elbow tightly.

"Why does it even matter!" She replied, looking down.

"You are trying to change the topic! Who are you?" I asked sternly.
Her face lost all colors. She looked at me in horror.

"Wh.. what do you mean?" She asked, stuttering.

"You breached my security system. Don't try to act all innocent! What was your motive behind coming to my place!!" My hold on her hand tighten, and i asked angrily. She winced in pain.

"Leave my hand!" She said sternly, but i ignored her. She yanked my hand and looked into my eyes.

"What do you want? Avu forced me to stay there. I couldn't deny her, but i know that it would be very uncomfortable for everyone...."

"Cut the crap!! How did you breach the security system ? Even if you thought we were uncomfortable, you could have informed someone!!" I almost shouted at her.

"Stop shouting, Mr. Malhotra! I am not your employee or something on whom you'd shout, and they'd just listen, and I didn't breach your security system. When the shift changes, there is no security for around 5 minutes." She said and what...?

I have no idea about it! Why isn't there any security in this time when shift changes!

"You talk about security, and then too, your house has not even one guard during that time!" She said sarcastically.

"How do you know that? Even i have no idea about it. How did you find out about it in a few hours!" I asked.

"I noticed it when the shift changed during nighttime! It's not my fault i am a good observer, and you are an idiot!" She said and started leaving.

"You are not leaving Panchi!! Stop right there! You still have not answered all my questions!" I said, stopping her.
She looked back at me.

"And why would i answer your questions? Is there something missing from your place?" She asked, looking at me. There was some unknown emotion in her eyes.

"No, but there are many enemies of mine and my family! My sister doesn't get this even after being a lawyer, and she...."

"So you think that i am someone from your enemies! Well, rest assured, i am not." She cut me off and started to leave again!

"And you think i will trust you! You ran away from your own wedding. You literally deceived your own family and the guy you were supposed to marry. There are people behind you. Who knows if you are a criminal or what!!" I said in frustration and immediately regretted my words.

She looked at me hurt, evident in her eyes. Her eyes turned glossy, and she said, "Don't! Then don't trust me."
