12: Protect

" You thought you could escape so easily, honey~. No one can escape from me, you tried and you failed, " he whispered into my ear, I am terrified right now. But the fact he called me honey, I am blushing my face off, right now. I need to get out of here, I tried to my powers, but I can't because of Ryker is holding my hands. I thought of something, this should work. I kicked him in the knee, he groaned in pain as he let me go. I bolted out of there, but I saw figures. I don't need fucking panic attacks and fucking painful flash now.

I was pulled aside again by Ryker, he covered my mouth so I won't make a sound. I started to get some flashbacks about that night, I was too weak to save him.

I remembered it was a full moon, I followed Caspian because he got into a fight in school. His first fight. I followed him because I didn't want him to get hurt. He knew I was following him, " You know you shouldn't be here, you know that Z-bug, " he warned me with his soft everbloomian voice, he had our father's accent. I had our mother's, I sighed, " You shouldn't be here too, Cassy. Plus it's midnight blood night, " I whispered, I was scared that night.

Caspian grabbed my hand and hold it. " Don't worry, I will protect you from the godlings, " he told me like he knew something was going to happened. He knew from that moment, he let himself get captured that night. We were at the lake, " Why are we here?" I asked Cassy and there's a shadow over his face. I was 14 years old at the time and Caspian gave me something, it was an crystal. Why did he gave me a crystal? Then the ground started to rumble and I lost grip over the crystal, it fell into the lake.

But the next moment, everything went into a blur. I remembered the words he said.

" Only used you, just to get my hands on you. But since your brother decided to gave himself up, I guess. I will get you next time, my love."

Then Caspian got out of their grip, then he told me in my ear, " The crystal I gave you will make you lost your memories of Ryker so you will never experience the same pain twice. I love you, little brother." He pushed me into lake, all I saw was darkness.

I woke up in the hospital, my parents were worried and they told me Caspian was killed. I cried for days after I was discharged from the hospital. Until the funeral, I cried so much and I didn't get to tell my speech. Mom had to tell the others what it was.

" Hey, are you back to reality now?" I saw Ryker's face and he was comforting me. I buried my face into his shoulder, " It's okay, they are gone. We need to get you home, my love, " he soothed me and I looked at him. He wiped my tears with his thumb, he held me tight. He touched my forehead and the crystal appeared again on my forehead. " You are the chosen one, I suppose. I known it was you because of that mark. But as well as your aura, you were full of light and I won't never hurt you. I will protect you from now on, I won't let them hurt you. But we need to get you home, " he told me.

I stood in front of the door and Ryker was behind me. " Thank you, Ryker. Don't tell the others please, " I ask of him and he smiled, I could feel it. " I won't, for the safety. They will be safe, " he said and he left, I unlocked the door and I saw mom jumped out to hugged me. She hugged me tight and she was crying, the last time I saw her cry was funeral of Caspian. 

" You are okay, I thought you were die, " mom sobbed and dad took her from me. He let me in the house, " I am fine, Ryker helped me escape from them, " I explained to them and they stared at me. " Ryker, as in the Ryker Abaddon. That one old friend we told to never talk to you, " dad asked to me and I nodded. I walked past them and I went to my room, I was glad tomorrow is the weekend. I really need sleep right now.

Roy pounced on my bed when I woke from my sleep. I giggled a bit as he pounced, he meowed at me. " What? I find it cute you pounced on my bed, " I giggled and he walked up to me, he snuggled on my lap. I was very tired from last night, I picked up my phone on my nightstand and I looked at the time. It was 10:09 am, at least it wasn't 11. Mom will be fucking mad at me, but yet it's Saturday. I hate Saturday morning because my mom will be always so pester on Saturday. But I think she will cut me some slack today after what happened last night. I got up from my bed and I got ready for the day.

I left my bunker room and I went to get some breakfast, when entering into the kitchen. I saw an note on the counter and I picked it up, Roy went to the living room. I read the note, they went out and they left breakfast for me. I sighed, I warmed up my food and I checked my phone. I got unknown text from someone. I opened it up, it was Ryker. 

Pr1nc3_0f_d4rkn355: Hey Firelight.

Firelight: Hey Ryker, h-how did you find my number?

 Pr1nc3_0f_d4rkn355: I wanted to check on you, you know. I want you to meet me at the lake, I promise I will come alone. You need to come alone as well.

I stared at the invite he told me, I started to think if I should go. Should I trust it? What if he is lying again? What if- No more what if, Zion, get it together. Maybe he wants to talk about something, I decided to trust Ryker on this.

Firelight: Okay, I will come alone. I will meet you at 1:00.

A/N: I am very sorry guys for taking a long time. The situation with my family been keeping me busy. But I am not dead, I was just inactive for a bit. I might post time to time, but when I am posting I will have some short chapters or long ones. Stay tune for the next chapter.
