'In fact, no one has ever really wanted to go on a date with me.'
- Unknown

It was just before eight o'clock in the evening when there was a knock on her door.

Lando.

She quickly pulled the beige, short cardigan with buttons over her white spaghetti strap dress, which reached below her knees. She already had sandals on and her brown hair in waves, which had taken her far too long because she didn't know whether to leave it loose or not.

She walked to the door, took a deep breath and opened it. Her heart was in her throat and she didn't know why she had fallen for this. No man had ever gone out with her before. And certainly not the man she was in love with. But maybe that was exactly why she had gotten into this.

"Hey." He smiled and looked her up and down.

He examined her. Maybe he wanted the same thing as the other men before him. Simply take advantage of her. She became afraid. Maybe she shouldn't go to the beach with him after all and stay at the hotel.

She quickly dismissed the idea. She liked him. She had never noticed him in a negative way and her brother had told her how worried he had been when she had been given the knockout drops and she had collided with him.

"Are you okay?" His smile disappeared and insecurity came over his face.

"Uhh- yeah- I mean, I'm fine. I'm just- Never mind," she took a breath, "I'm glad to see you."

She smiled and only now saw that he was wearing black jeans and a white linen shirt with the last two buttons undone. This allowed her to see a necklace with a blue stone on it. The white shirt made his tanned skin look even browner and his green eyes really stood out. A blue sweater was draped over his shoulders and he was carrying his cell phone and a car key in his hand.

"I'm glad to see you too," his smile was warm and genuine, "Are you ready? Can we go?"

"Do you think I need my wallet? Money?"

"No." His smile widened and she lost herself in it. It was simply the most beautiful smile she had ever seen.

"Okay, then I've got everything. We can go now. Unless you say I can't go out like this," a small laugh escaped her lips.

"No, you look beautiful."

"Thank you." Her cheeks flushed and she turned around.

She took the key card, put it in her cell phone case and closed the door behind her.

"Good, then we are good to go."

He smiled and stepped a little to the side so that Luise could stand next to him. Together they walked towards the elevator.

"We'll drive about thirty minutes to the beach. I hope that's not too long." He looked at her from the side.

"No, not at all. I assume you're driving?" she asked, although she knew the answer. He was a Formula 1 driver and they always tended to want to drive themselves. So did her brothers.

"Yes, or does that bother you?" he asked and she had to smile at the fact that he was afraid of doing something wrong. So he was nervous too and not just her. And that reassured her in a way.

"No. I always have to sit in the passenger seat as soon as one of my brothers is in the car," she rolled her eyes, "They always say they hate being passengers."

They reached the elevator and got in. They went down to the foyer.

"I actually feel the same way. I hate being a passenger."
