The two of them had traveled to the Netherlands together on Wednesday so that Lando could get on with his work. He already had some media appointments on Thursday before the first and second training sessions began on Friday.

The flight left in the morning, so they had to have an early breakfast and then check out of the hotel. By nine o'clock they were already sitting at the airport waiting to board the plane. They sat together in the VIP area and enjoyed the last few hours before Lando ran out of time. Race weekends in particular were very stressful and there was hardly any time for family and friends.

She had bought herself an overpriced hot chocolate and Lando had got himself a latte macchiato, which they had then sipped. They had watched the airplanes roll over the square and talked about the last two days they had spent with Lando's family.

The second day was also a complete success. The museum was beautiful and interesting, even if she wasn't the biggest history fan. She always had bad grades, but this museum had still been good. The tower was also good and the view from the tower was breathtaking. They had eaten lunch at a fancy restaurant. This time it was a Greek restaurant. The Norris family had eaten there several times before and thought it was super good. But she hadn't been convinced because she didn't like Greek food that much. But she had drunk two ouzos, which had really cleared her stomach.

The flight on wednesday had then gone smoothly and checking into the new hotel in the Netherlands had also been easy. There they had arranged to meet Max, Oscar, Daniel, Charles and Carlos for lunch. They hadn't eaten lunch because of the flight and the rest of the team had only just checked in.

They had spent ninety minutes chatting, eating and laughing before everyone went their separate ways again. The newly in love couple also made their own way to the hotel before grabbing their swimsuits and walking to the nearby hotel beach.

She had packed her book, swimsuit and towel. But what was most important was the sun cream. She also had all the necessary items with her. Lando was simpler and only had his swimming trunks and towel with him. He didn't need anything else as he would be sunbathing and sleeping.

They quickly found an empty spot where they could lie down. There were two loungers and enough space around them to lie on the sand. This was mainly due to the fact that the places were reserved by room.

"Your family is really nice, but I really like this weather much better than the weather in England," she laughed, spreading a towel out on the sand.

"Well, come on, the weather in England is perfect," he said sarcastically.

"Yes, maybe for someone who grew up there. But I've lived in Monaco all my life. It's only 5 degrees minimum in winter," she explained, although she knew that Lando knew that.

"I know that, but you're doing a winter sport. Shouldn't you be used to the cold?"

"How you take it. Not necessarily," she smiled, unpacked her book and lay down on her stomach on the towel.

"All right, I have to admit, it doesn't rain in an ice rink and it's not windy either."

"Right."

Lando was already sitting on a lounger on which he had previously placed a royal blue towel.

"Do you ever get any sun at all in England?"

"Rarely, that's why I moved to Monaco," he laughed heartily and then leaned against the backrest.

"I see," she giggled, but she also knew that the lack of sun wasn't the reason for his move to Monaco. There were other valid reasons.

When silence fell, she opened her book and began to read. She had already started reading the book on the flight and was immediately captivated by it, which was why she had to continue reading it straight away. It was the first part of the Inheritance series. Even the cover didn't disappoint.
