Jonathan's Victory

Chapter 8

Clary ran over a push Sebastian with all her might. He didn't move an inch. He was to strong.

"What are you doing?" She shouted at him.

Sebastian turned and glared at her. If looks could kill she'd be dead and buried six feet under.

"Putting the dog down. They tried to fight back! We can't have traitors!" Sebastian yelled venomously. Clary glared at him hatefully. She didn't understand how someone could be so evil and cold.

Clary went over to Luke. She saw with relief that his chest was moving up and down still. Jocelyn was at his other side crying silently.

"Let us heal him. He's still breathing." Clary yelled at Sebastian who still glared at her. He scowled as if she had suggested he put on a tutu and sing the national anthem.

Jocelyn was on the other side of Luke, putting cloth on the cut that had already begun to heal. Jace was standing by the doorway with James in his arms. He held James close, protecting him from danger. From Sebastian.

"Please." Clary said to Sebastian. She tried to think of the boy with green eyes from her vision. The one who could laugh, and love, and be human.

Sebastian bent down next to her.

"If he won't be punished then you will." He whispered in her ear so low she barely heard it.

She gulped and went to the bathroom. She quickly grabbed bandages and went back in the bedroom to see a conscious Luke.

Jace came beside her and said"What did he say to you?" He sounded nervous.

"Nothing. Nothing at all." Was all Clary said, she didn't trust herself not to break down in tears. What if he hurt James?

An hour later was when Jocelyn and Luke noticed James in Jace's arms.

"Get that devil child out of here!" Jocelyn yelled not having to have gotten a better look at him. If she had she would of realized that James looked like Jace, down to the way their faces were shaped.

"Mom. Look at him." Clary said gently.

Jocelyn hesitantly went over and looked at him. After a minute she smiled, with a look of slight sadness. She was probably wishing Sebastian had looked like that. "Should I be mad that you got my daughter pregnant or happy it's not Sebastian's?" Jocelyn wondered out loud. Jocelyn stocked the baby's face lovingly.

Luke, who had healed, laughed."Probably both." He winced a little, and tried to cover it from Jocelyn.

James was playing with Jace's finger looking happy and innocent.

"We have to find a way to get out of here tonight. I'm not waiting any longer." Clary said.

Jocelyn and Luke nodded without enthusiasm. They had obviously given up. Clary frowned and wondered what made them give up.

Clary walked out and went to another room that held Simon and Isabelle. They both looked tired and ragged.

"Simon, Izzy?" They turned at the sound of her voice.

"Clary!" They yelled in unison. They ran to her and hugged her.

"Guys we need to talk. We need to find away to get out of here."

Isabelle rolled her eyes"And you didn't discover that ten months ago?"

"I thought I could live like this if it meant keeping you guys safe. But now I have something worth fighting for." Clary said

They both looked confused. They stated at her blankly.

"Mine and Jace's son." Clary whispered.

"Clary I asked if you two were being responsible. I guess I should have known, with Jace being you know, Jace. I wondered what you two were up to in the caves." Isabelle said while Simon kept repeating 'gross', and covering his ears.

"Let's go to my mom's and Luke's room." On the way they picked up Magnus and Alec. They had the same reaction as Simon and Isabelle did when she told them about James.

They walked back to Jocelyn and Luke's room in silence. When they got there Izzy ran to hold the baby.

"Ok Clary what's your plan?" Simon said. Everyone turned to her.

"Well Jace has heavenly fire in him still so he could defeat Sebastian."Clary said, even she thought that's sounded stupid.

" So are we going to hit Sebastian in the head with Jace." Simon said sarcastically.

"Simons right Jace isn't the best weapon to use." Alec said while Jace scowled and muttered under his breath something about him being the greatest.

"Weapon. That's it."

Clary walked out of the room. She knew how to defeat Sebastian.
