-----------------------------------------------------------------Adam's POV:
We run as quickly as we can. As we got nearer, I was thinking on what should I do to those rogues. Should I kill them in a blink of an eye, or should I take my time and kill them slowly where they can savor the pain they needed.
I slowed my pace once we've reached the spot where the rogues and my warriors are standing. They're facing each other still in their human form, ready for the things that could happen. Waiting if who's going to attack first.
I shifted on my human form behind the tree where some clothes are hiding. I grabbed them and put them on. Lucas and the others did the same.
I walked towards my warriors spot. They broke eye contact with the rogues when they sensed my presence. They looked at me the bowed their heads.
"Alpha!"Everybody said. I just nodded at them while my eyes are fixed on the rogues who's snarling at me showing their canines.
I growled at them loudly. Some of them flinched, while the man in front of me just smirked, looking straight into my eyes.
I think he's their leader. Behind him, there's a woman who's standing with a worried expression on her face. She had a dirty blonde hair, and I think she has the same age of my mother. This rogues are different from the other rogues. Why? They look so clean from a typical rogue. They don't smell like those stinky rouges. They looks like they're taking care of themselves.
"Alpha Adam! It is good to see you." He greeted me while smiling. English. He has English accent. I just looked at him, uninterested.
"Or not?" He said.
"Who are you? What are you doing here in my territory?" I asked him not dropping my deadly glare.
"Oh! Forgive me for my rudeness. My name is Kevin, by the way. We came from the north, but originally from London. This is my wife, Eleonore. We are here to have a word with you." He said acting like those English gentlemen. I furrowed my eyebrows.
"As much as I wanted to fight with you, this is not the right time I think. This is the time for us to join forces." He said again. Now, my eyebrows become more furrowed. If it's even possible.
"It is true, Adam. When we reached here and ready to attack. They stooped us. He said, they're not here to fight. They just wanted to talk to you." Vince said through mind link.
"For what reason?" I asked.
"I don't know. You're the one he wanted to talk with." Vince replied.
"What nonsense are you talking about?" I asked the man who's name is Kevin according to himself.
"I have heard about those teenagers from your pack that are missing." He said looking serious now.
"And you're the one who's responsible for their disappearance. And you are here because you will demand something for their exchange." I said accusing him. I don't know why I'm still acting so calm.
He chuckled bitterly. "You got me wrong, Alpha. Yes, we do not belong to a pack like yours. We choose to live like those rogues who doesn't give shit about pack rules. But believe me, we are far from those nasty rogues. Like you, we have a family that we need to protect. I am here because like you, they also took what's precious to me. They took my daughter." He said a bit emotional when he mentioned his daughter. His wife began to cry silently.
"Drama queens!" Tom said.
"What are you trying to say? Who took your daughter?" I asked.
"Hunters! Hunters took my daughter." He said. Anger flashed in his eyes.
"Hunters?" I asked confirming it.
"Y-yes. Those hunters took my daughter. T-that day, me and my daughter decided to take a walk when those hunters showed up. They shot us tranquilizer. I tried to fight, but unfortunately didn't make it. I saw it when they took my daughter away from me." He said remembering the they that he's talking about.
I looked carefully at his face. Searching for any hints that he's only messing with me. Trying to lure me and later they will do their nasty moves against us. But no. All I can see is sincerity. There's no hints of lying. Even for a little sign.
"How can I make sure that you're telling the truth?" I asked him.
"Don't tell me that you're buying his shit that he's talking about?" Lucas suddenly asked me with protest.
"Just hold yourself and be prepared. Let me handle this thing. Who knows, he's telling the truth and they will be the key for us to find those missing teenagers." I said through mind link still looking at Kevin.
"I am here as a loving father. As a leader of my group who's believing in me no matter what happens. I am here as a man who has a one word, pride, honor and dignity." He said proudly.
Believe me. I anted to roll my eyes because of what he said. But of course, I choose to be a gentleman who listens first before making actions. Where the hell it came from?
"P-please, Alpha. You have to believe us. We are telling the truth. We are here for the sake of our daughter, for bringing her back to us." His wife said with pleading eyes.
I sighed. Yes, I may be a cold hearted person sometimes. But hey! I also have a heart who can listen to this kind of things.
"Bring them to the pack house." I ordered to my pack.
"B-but, Adam-" Lucas tried to protest.
"Do it! And if they did something stupid. Kill them." I said with my Alpha command while looking at Kevin's group.
"Yes Alpha!" Lucas said in defeat.
"Follow them. Don't try to do something that you might regret. Believe me, I won't hesitate to kill you." I said the turned around from them and started to walk away.
"Watch them carefully!" I said then shifted into my wolf form and run.
