Chapter Eleven

Adam's POV:

It's getting dark now, we're just finished with our rounds in our territory. It's been a while since I last did this. Usually, I joined with our patrol to check our territory.

"Lets go guys, time to get back now." I said to Vince and Tom.

"Okay Alpha!" They both said.

After I talk with the patrols at night and leave some instructions, we headed back to the pack house. When we reached the house, I went straight to my bedroom and took a shower. After a quick shower, I get dressed and walked outside my room and went to the kitchen. I'm wondering about Amanda's surprise.

As I entered the kitchen, I walked towards where the huge dining room is. Our pack members are already here. When they noticed me they greeted me, while the others bend down their heads.

I walked towards the table at the middle where my parents, the guys and Amanda is already sitting.

"Hello son, how are you?" My mother asked.

"I'm great mom." I said then kissed her forehead.

"How's the round son?" My father asked.

"Everything is fine dad, there's no threat around." I answered.

After a while, our food has served. We eat happily, like the usual. Talking about the happenings to our pack and some random things.

"Hmm... The food is so great." Tom said while rubbing his stomach.

"You and food!" Vince teased him. We all laughed. Believe me, Tom loves to eat. Thankfully, we didn't get fat.

"Okay guys, since we are done with our dinner, it's time for my surprise." Amanda cut to our laughter.

"What is it dear? Are you pregnant?" My mother asked her. Because of that, she blushed hard in embarrassment. Lucas straightened to his seat.

"Uhm, n-no Luna. I'm not pregnant. M-my surprise is about Alpha Adam." She said shyly. Lucas sighed in relief and at the same time disappointment.

"About me? What is it?" I asked her curiously.

"Wait here, I'll just get my drawing pad." She said then walked way.

"Do you know anything about this Lucas?" I asked Lucas.

"I absolutely no idea, man" He said truthfully. I nodded.

After a while, Amanda returned hugging her drawing pad. She stopped in front of our table. She took a deep breath and look at us one by one.

"The day of my arrival, I discovered this thing. Well, not really a thing." She said then chuckled. We're all looking at her waiting for her to continue.

"At first, I didn't believe myself, but I realized that maybe there's a reason why this is happening, so I decided to help." She continued.

Then she looked at me. "Alpha, I hope that you'll understand why I did this. Why I hide this for a while. I'm just following orders." She said.

"What do you mean Amanda? Who's order?" I asked confusedly.

Instead of talking again, she looked at her drawing pad and began to flip each paper. She stopped when she finally found what she's looking for. She looked at me and took a deep breath.

She faced the paper toward us, at first I didn't understand what she wanted to happen. But, as I look further to the paper, I was beyond shock of what I saw. I can't believe it. I closed my eyes and take a while before opening it again. As I opened my eyes, it is still there, nothings changed. I looked closely to the image. Her red hair, those captivating dark green eyes, and perfectly curve red lips. "Louie!" I whispered.
