Chapter Twenty One

Darkness. No one else around but darkness.

I blinked my eyes several times trying to get a glimpse of lights, but nothing. All I can see is darkness. Then suddenly, I heard someone's voice. A voice of a man and it sounds so familiar. He's saying something, but I can't understand what he's saying.

"Hello! Where are you? Can you hear me?" I shouted. But he just keep on talking.

I started to walk while my arms are stretched in front of me. I walked cautiously, trying to avoid anything that is possibly blocking my way.

"Just wake up, Lou. Please come back. I miss you so much. I miss those piercing eyes of yours, I miss your annoying voice and mostly, I miss your iron fist which can give a deadly punch." My eyes widened. Nick? I said to myself.

"Oh my God! Nick? Where are you? Can you hear me?" I shouted again while turning my head left and right.

"Where the hell am I? Why this place is so dark?" I said a bit irritated.

"Louie?" Dominick said. He sound a bit surprised.

"Nick? I'm here." I said shouting.

"Louie, babe. Can you hear me? Please open your eyes." He said. I furrowed my eyebrows. What he meant by that? I asked myself confused.

Suddenly, a faint light appeared to my left side. I walked towards it hoping there's a way out. Every steps I made, the light is getting brighter and brighter. Until the light took over. I closed and covered my eyes using my arms.

When I think the light is finally gone, I opened my eyes and blinked slowly to adjust my eyesight. White ceiling welcomed me. Then, I looked to my right side.

"N-nick?" I said with a crack voice. I swallowed twice to clear my throat.

"Oh my God! I... I-I can't believe this! W-wait here, I'm going to call the doctor." He said hurriedly then run towards the door and went out.

After a while, he returned together with a man wearing a white coat and stethoscope on his neck, definitely a doctor. Then, two other people that I assume is nurses.

The three walked towards me and do they usual job. I looked over Nick's direction. He's standing next to the door while watching us.

"Well, it seems that everything is fine now. Your wounds are still healing so you need to take good care of it. I will give you a prescription for your medicine, and please stay in bed until you're fully healed." The doctor said. I looked at him.

"I'll make sure of that Dr. Clark, don't worry. If she tried to do anything stupid... Well...!" Dominick said. I looked at him to see that he's looking at me. I raised my eyebrows.

"Oh, make me!" I said threatening him. He just chuckled.

"Well, I'm out of here. Please do what I said to you. Okay?" The doctor said again. I rolled my eyes. Who said I'm going to listen to you. I said to myself.

"Thank you, Dr. Clark." Dominick said. Dr. Clark nodded then leave together with the two nurses.

"You're so mean!" I heard Dominick said. I looked at him.

"Shut up! Just give me a water. I'm thirsty." I said sternly. He just looked at me.

"You lay there for two months, while I take care of you. Then now, you're doing this to me." He said acting like he's hurt. I chuckled. I really love to annoy him.

"I miss you, Nick." I said. He smiled.

"I miss you too, Lou." He said then hugged me. I hugged him back.

Well, I really do miss him. And I'm glad that I'm finally back from that shitty darkness. It's creepy you know.

"Can you please wake her up?" I heard a female voice who is familiar to me.

"No. Can't you see she's resting." Nick said.

"She needs rest, Vivien. Lets just wait for her to wake up." Another voice said that belongs to a man. I think it's Victor. So, my friends are here.

After Nick and I talked several topics, I decided to take a nap. Also, he needs to leave for some errands.

"Oh, come on. She can go back to sleep later." Vivien said. I know, she's making a face right now.

"Why can't you just wait?" Victor said. Well, they are twins if you're asking.

"I miss her!" Vivien said.

"Everybody does. And they are waiting. So, why can't you?" Victor said. Yes, they're always like that. Arguing.

"Children! Lower your voice please. Or, you better shut up." Nick said.

Then I heard a sound of smack. I opened my eyes slowly, not making any movement. "Ouch! What was that for?" Victor said while rubbing the nape of his neck. I bit my tongue to hold my laugh.

"For being an asshole!" Vivien said giving him a deadly glare.

Nick groaned in annoyance. "You two! Get out!" Nick said angrily. I can't hold it anymore, so I laugh. They all looked at me with wide eyes.

"Lou? Oh my God! Lou, you're awake!" Vivien said then run towards me and hugged me. I winced. She hit my wound.

"Who doesn't? You're so noisy." Victor said sarcastically. "Shut up!" Vivien said.

"Viv, Let her go! Louie's wounds are still fresh." Nick said worriedly. He walked towards me then ripped Vivien off of me.

"Oh my God! I'm so sorry, Lou. Does it hurt? Should I call the Doctor?" Vivien said hurriedly. "Oh, please!" Victor said, rolling his eyes.

I chuckled. "I'm fine, Viv. Just don't hug me like that again. Okay." I said.

"Oh... I miss you so so much, Lou. I'm glad that you're finally awake. You know, I'm so worried about you. We all do." She said. Her eyes started to get wet. Typical Vivien. Emotional.

I shifted my position so I can sit. Nick helped me. "Thank you." I said to him. He just smiled.

"I miss you too, Viv." I stretched my arms towards her, asking for a hug. She came and hugged me. "You too, Vic." I said looking to Victor. He smiled then walked towards us and joined. He sat on the other side of the bed.

I looked at Nick's direction. His hands were placed to his pockets while looking to the three of us.

"You want to join?" I asked him. He raised his eyebrow.

"No, I'm fine." He said.

Vivien let go of me then and pulled nick. "Oh silly! Of course you will." She said. I chuckled.

Well, I'm really glad that I'm finally back. I miss this silly, crazy friends of mine.
