Mated To A Ghost

Chapter Twenty Nine

Adam's POV:

"How are you feeling, son?" My mother asked me.

After one hour like Louie said, our bodies are back to normal. The thing that she used to us is stronger than a tranquilizer according to our pack doctor.

"I'm fine now mother." I said.

"I still can't believe that she did that to you." My father said. Disappointment is in his voice.

"Nobody knows, dad. Besides she can't remember anything." I said defending Louie.

I took a glance towards Tom. He looks like someone just died. I can't blame him, I feel the same but I need to be strong.

"Alpha. Alpha Philip is here now." One of the pack guard said. I nodded

"Send him in." I said. He bend his head then leave.

Alpha Philip entered the living room together with his Beta. Beta Roland. These two are five years older than us.

"Adam. What is the problem and you asked me to come here?" He said.

"Please sit down." I said. He did what I said.

"So..."

I took the sketchpad and gave it to him. He raised his eyebrow before he looked at the sketchpad.

"Agent Reed?" He looked at me. "I'm supposed to meet her today, but she cancelled our meeting." He said. I nodded.

"Their agency is the one who's helping me to find those missing teenagers in my pack. I choose them because they're handling a case that is similar to my problem. So, what's with her?"

"She's my mate." I said. He looks at me like he's finding if I'm telling the truth.

"And my mate is also with her." Tom said. He's looking at Alpha Philip seriously.

"So, you meet her today that's why she cancelled our appointment? Well, congratulation, Adam. I heard that she's the best agent in their agency." He said smiling.

"She run away. She's gone and left me for the third time." I said. He furrowed his eyebrows.

"What do you mean she left you for the third time?" He asked.

"When we first met, she's a ghost and..."

"Wait a minute! You said she's a ghost?" He asked while giving me the look that 'are you out of your mind'.

I sighed.

"I know it's hard to believe but it's true." I said then tell him how everything happened. From the first day that I saw her til the day she disappeared.

"Wow! What an interesting mate you have." He said. I looked at him confusedly. One moment, he doesn't believe me. Then now he's amused.

"You believe in me?" I asked.

"Well, what I've heard is she went in coma for two freaking months. When I went to their agency and saw her, it's the second day since she woke up. So now, it's almost a week. So I think you're right. The ghost... Well spirit that you've met is hers. And now that she woke up and it returned to her body. Everything that you've shared, every memories that you have is all vanished." He said.

I nodded. I think he's right.

"Alpha Philip is right. I remember this one ghost that I've met..." Amanda said.

"Wait! You can see ghosts?" Beta Roland interrupts her. Amanda nodded.

"So about this ghost, like Louie she's not dead yet. So I helped her find her body and we find it, it's in a hospital. She's in coma. When her spirit returned to her body, she doesn't know me anymore. But she said, I looked familiar to her. So I think, even Louie can't remember us, inside her she knows us. She just can't say it because she can't remember." Amanda said. All of us are just looking at her and listening carefully.

"Where is this agency that you are talking about" I asked Philip.

"It's five hours from here. Here's the address." He said while showing the address where currently saved on his cellphone.

I'm going to get her back. If she can't remember anything, I'll make her remember. Whether it's in the hard way or easy way. I'm going to do it. I need my mate.

Louie's POV:

"So now that we finally found the new hide out of these syndicate, we're going to create a plan. But first, we need  more information before we make our moves. We can't afford to lose any more lives now. Innocent people are defending to us, waiting to be saved. We need to be smarter this time, smarter than these sick bastards. Are we clear?" Our new head officer said to us.

"Yes, sir!" We all said in union.

"Schmidt, Reed." He called me and Dominick.

"Yes, sir?" I asked.

"Since you're the one who found this place, you're the one whom I going to assign for further investigations."

"Got it, sir." Dominick said.

"You can bring three other agents for help." He added.

"I volunteer, sir." Agent Stone said while raising her right hand. She's a CIA recruit.

"Okay. Who else?"

Agent Peterson and Agent Holt raised their hand.

"Me, sir." They both said.

"Good. So agents, you better be more careful this time. We don't want to be caught again." He said.

"Yes, sir." We all said.

"You can leave now." He said then walked towards the door and leave.

"So, guys. Tomorrow night we're going to the target location. For now, let's prepare ourselves. Go training or relax if you want. I know that all of you are great agents." Dominick said.

"Okay, Schmidt. See you tomorrow then." Peterson said.

All of us went out of the room and leave the building.

"Where to go?"  Dominick asked me while leaning on my car.

"To the agency. I going to practice shooting." I said. He raised his eyebrow.

"Why? Have you lost you're awesomely skill in shooting?" He asked playfully. I chuckled.

"Come on! You know my skills are great. I can still shoot with my eyes blind folded." I said.

He shook his head. "Cocky much?" He said.

"Very much." I answered then we both laughed.

"Come on, get in the car. We need to train you're awesomely skills in cockiness... I mean shooting." He said and gave me a huge grin then opened the passenger side and entered.

"You drive." He said.

"What..."

"Don't complain. Make it fast, It's getting late now you see." He said pointing outside. I groaned in defeat. Sometimes this man is impossible.

I walked towards the driver side, opened the door and get in. Once I put my feet on the pedal, I stepped onto it and drive fast.

"What the hell!" Dominick shouted.

I chuckled. "That's what you get when you mess with me."
