Everyone was still in shock. The joy of finally winning the war for a moment forgotten. They were in the presence of a God. The Ghost King himself. The shock and awe are still visible on their faces. Their eyes locked on Caihong and Wen siblings.
The words Hua Cheng had said are still echoing in their minds. The bodies of the dead spread out around them. A testimony of their victory, but they could not celebrate. Not at this moment. And then there was the open declaration from the second jade. He claimed the young lady in front of all of them. That in itself was also a shock for them. They never thought or even fathom that the ever rule abiding. Cold nephew of Lan Qiren would be so bold as to kiss the young lady so passionately for everyone to see. Well, life is indeed full of surprises.

Nobody knows how Jin Guangshan managed to arrive at Nightless City so fast, and Huaisang was with him. Jin Guangshan had a smile on his face as he swept into the courtyard with many servants ordering them to clean up the throne room and start preparations for a celebration dinner.

Huaisang ran towards his brother and threw his hands around him.

"Da-ge, I was so scared that something would happen to you. I am so happy that you are fine". He said as he cried against his brothers chest.

"I am fine as you can see A-Sang. I won't be killed that easily. You know that". Mingjue told his brother to calm him down.

"But still Da-ge I was scared and you know why". Huaisang said as he pushed himself out of his brothers arms and gave him a knowing look.

"I know". Mingjue said with a soft sigh, patting his brothers head lovingly.

Lan Xichen was still reeling and in disbelief at Mengs' actions. He thought that he knew the other man, but clearly, he didn't. It seems some people are not always what they pretend to be.

Lan Qiren watched as Jin Guangshan swept in. Take over and give orders as if he had participated in the war. It left a bad taste in his mouth watching the man. Telling them that they will all meet again in two days' time at Nightless City for the victory celebration party.

The Lan. The Nie and the Wen siblings left with Caihong not want to be in the Jin sect leaders presence any longer even Jin Zixuan left shaking his head as he watch his father. The Wen siblings went back to their family at dafan, finding the soldiers all gone and a very strong barrier around the village. Walking through, they could feel the power resonating from it. Wen Qing nodded her head as the two hugged their family, just glad that they were still safe and would probably stay that way.

The, Lans, and Caihong arrived at the Cloud Recess. Sadness could be seen in their eyes as they looked around at the torch building, but rebuilding had already started, so they made their way towards their residence. Lan Zhan took Caihong and walked with her towards a building that stood far away from the others. Upon asking, Lan Zhan told her that it belonged to his mother. Caihong laid her hand on his shoulder, and he looked at her. She gave him a sad smile. No words were needed between them. They have lost so much already. Maybe this time, it will be different.

When the jiangs arrived at lotus pier, the soldiers there were also gone. The place was burned to the ground, and they would have to start from scratch. Rebuilding it once again.

Two days later, everyone arrived at Nightless City for the celebration. There was an air of relief amongst the sects as they made their way towards the throne room. Everyone was greeted by Jin Guangshan himself and his adviser Jin Guangyoa. Yes he found his way into the good graces of his father. To say that Xichen and Mingjue was shocked when they arrived, and saw him and also heard the name change. Would be an understatement.

Caihong and Lan Zhan stood watching when they heard footsteps. Turning their heads slightly. They saw that it was the Jiang sect. So they stepped to the side to make way for them to be greeted. Lan Qiren turns upon hearing the footsteps and when he saw who it was he excused them waving the Lan Zhan and Caihong to follow them. The two immediately started walking. Just glad not to have to interact with the Jiangs. Being shown to their tables. Thanking the servants. They took a seat waiting for the show to start. They did not have to wait long because they heard angry voices coming from the door. Turning their heads. They saw the Wen siblings being surrounded by Jin disciples.
