The first week of classes was us just getting used to the school and settled into a daily routine while attending practices for sport and band. The first week went by pretty lightly with no homework and the teachers only getting us used to the work we had laying ahead, but by the look of what we were doing it was way harder than high school. The first day we had classes on Monday morning all five of us had breakfast together than split for class while the rest enjoyed their lectures me and Elijah stayed in the canteen as it was open until nine, which was a perfect reminder for us when our class started.

"I hope there's not fricking seating plan! I don't know what we're gona be doing but I'd like to see what you've done over the break. Those Discord Dm's were constantly pinging." Eli said.

I opened my phone and showed him the paragraphs of what I had been working on.

"I know, it's not that good. But hey! You can't have been working on nothing as well. I see some of those messages and you know because I replied to them." I replied.

In return he unlocked his unlocked phone over for me to see. I was amazed at what he had come up with in just over six weeks. A bell rang to signal the start of high school and we rushed out of the cafeteria towards our class in the auditorium. We took our seats within the back row in the middle of the classroom separated by walkways on both sides.

"I like the back, it's quite up here and we're not so noticeable." Elijah said as he took out his laptop from his bag and placed it onto the table.

The teacher still hadn't arrived, so we were sure they were still prepping for the lesson. The whole classroom turned into a chatter of multiple conversations, me and Eli play led some games with each other and brainstormed on what today's lesson would be like and the stories we would make while other kids chatted about stuff they were going to wright or learn about. I kept checking my versa two for the time and my heartbeat. It was almost nine- thirty when the door on our left opened. In walked a young-looking woman; too young to be a teacher but most of the teachers at my school had looked young and the class was shocked to learn their age.

"Good morning! I'm Mischa Walters but please, call me Miss Walters. Class starts at nine thirty but the bell is to remind you that you are supposed to be in class or on your way. Think of it as a warning bell, I will except students that are a couple minutes late for a good reason but don't ever think you're doing it repeatedly or I'll make you read some really bad- and I mean really bad- stories." Miss Walters shouted as she descended the steps beside me and made her way onto the stage.

The crowd gave a half nervous laugh and most kids got out their laptops now that the teacher was here. The lesson had gone quickly and since she only wanted us to revise our notes for next lesson tomorrow, Eli and I decided we'd try and convince the group to have lunch somewhere else. High school students weren't allowed to leave the grounds at all, but TAFE or Uni students were allowed to leave for lunch or dinner at the nearby town. So here we are walking to the little towns Ko-Op for lunch again.

"What are we getting this time? Ooo! Maybe some dim Sims with fish and chips and some Chinese-" Charli started.

"NO! The Chinese take away van is here! Why don't we get some dim sims from the Koop and Chinese for lunch but also save some for dinner?" I voiced.

"After all we can stop by the house on the way back." Jaime added.

With our minds made up we ordered our food and set off to the house to place our dinner somewhere same and warm. The microwave was stacked with delicious food as we excited the house. On the way back through the front gates our phones pinged, my hands were still full with our lunch and the others were carrying something down to the beach; so, the only free-handed person, Jaime took her phone from her jeans and looked at what message had been sent to all our phones.

"Hah! Get a load of this shit! An asteroid is said to pass by very close that it could fall into Earth's orbit and land nearby!" Jaime scoffed, obviously not believing the warning form BOM weather.

We ate our lunch and headed back inside once the bell rung to signal lunch was over and since only Elijah and I were the only ones without classes we decided to see what the library had to offer. The group joked that we could research more about this so called 'asteroid threat' while we were in there. But it wasn't like the Bureau of Meteorology to be far away from the truth. They were the most accurate weather site; even if they did get the forecast wrong, they weren't far off when it would happen. We've had torrential rain forecast for a day and it hit us the next; one week was supposed to be all heavy rain but the rain came through halfway throughout the week. They weren't accurate but they were close enough. Though I did have some doubts that we were dismissing the idea because it sounded ludicrous to us.

"Hey guys! How were your lessons?" Eli asked, as he had heard the door open.

"Man, I think all this training you're making me do is gona kill me. Oh my god. I think I'm going to crash after all practices next week." I huffed; I had just come inside from the backyard after doing some running drills.
