Alexandra's POV:

Howards was watching her Nice like a Hawk. grey eyes turning stormy whenever I tried to stop her staring.

"Is this a one off or are you going to help us from now on?" I asked.

"I'll take my chances." Howdy stated, barely able to take her glued eyes off her Niece

"That's not an answer!" Charli shouted.

My eyelids fluttered in shock as my body jumped with everyone else's but not Howards. She most likely had heard Charli angry before whereas we had heard her shout.

"Oh, nice to know your temper is as hot as your fire." Howdy chuckled, her voice emulating a sly tone.

A light breeze of wind blew from behind Howards and as everyone closed their eyes Howdy turned to me, "Not a word Williams." She hissed, none of the others would have been able to hear her due to the wind ragging in their ears.

Somehow Howards had formed a sound barrier around us. And with one final gust she bolted off. The others furiously brushed their hair out of their faces and flattened their ruffled clothes.

I chuckled. "Come on, we've got assessments to get back to."

A series of flashing lights like at a disco revealed our disguise's had warn off.

Charli grumbled as her disuse disappeared, "Don't remind me. Howards has to come watch us trial for a spot on the team going to districts."

I paled and Jaimie chocked on a breath. "What! You never told me that the Principal was going to watch us during selection!"

We all laughed a Jaimie's nervousness; truth be told I too, was feeling the nervous butterflies fluttering around in my stomach. Once we made it back from the oval we rushed off to our classes and Charli and I headed to the rink.

"Scared of my Aunt are you?" She whispered in my ear.

Students had arrived to watch us train and or try out for the district team and the Café the catering students run was close yo the entrance to the rink; two stories above and below people could watch  through the glass or net.

"No, I'm more scared of you." I whispered back but I couldn't hide the quiver in my voice.

Her mesmerising ocean-like eyes watched me with confused concern as we walked around the rink to the lockers. Coach yelled at us for being late and mentioned how Howdy was also conveniently late as well.

I wonder why...

"Fashionably late, I was. Moon, You do know I am the Principal." Howie snarked but her voice was innocent as ever, leaving Coach clueless.

I snorted.

I was dying for air, my lungs where expanding as much as they could to allow myself to get better intake. It didn't help that I had a chestplate strapped on tight comprising my chest.

Coach Moonfire told us the list of potentials and latet on skated over to me to give me another keeper jersey that I could use while in goal. Charli turned to me and I turned to meet her, eyes gleaming with a giant grin.

Howards called me over as soon as coach skated away.

"I want to see you in my office afterwards. I'm making Kyia come as well, no warning her." She said.

"You really thing Kyia would try and avoid you?" I laugh.

"Yes, if she knew what I was going to make this meeting about." She smirked.

It irked me how good Howards was with her words. She could always catch me on sentences and get me to slip up. Wisdom seemed to just spew from her lips.
