Kyia POV:
Kyia ran as fast as she could, through the beachside shrubbery and along the sand before she reached where the edge of the water should meet the sand. She barreled through the palm and eucalyptus trees, charging through the shrubs. The wind wailed as she sprinted, everything around her was a blur, the only thing she could see clearly was what was in front of her. And that. Was the beach Alex, Charli and their friends were having their beachside picnic. However, that very same beach was the beach where a fight was taking place.
It had to be between those shadowy monsters and those super powered people. Chunks of steam, water and sand were being thrown up, above the tree line and I doubted that no one it the Academy had missed it. It had to be those mystery heroes, where there is one, the others are likely not far behind. Or are there. That has been their pattern.
This time, maybe I could just catch them. Maybe I could capture their identities. Even capture who is causing this.
I sprinted through the foliage that backed on to the beach, hopping that the group of friends were safe. I bulldozed through the brush. Almost tripping forwards from my excess speed.
The officer stood, frozen on the spot as she watched the wave. The group of friends did not take notice to her. Elijah morphed into his alter ego. My eyes widened at the site beheld in front of me, Elijah had just transformed into one of the mysterious heroes. His hair was now black with two different shades of blue streaked through it. He was already on top of the rock jetti, trying to control the tsunami. His hands shot out; he was trying to control or manover the giant wave but only the water inside the wave would move.
"Holy-" I was cut off by something slamming in to my side and pushing me towards the ground- out of the way of water tumbling from the wave.
"I can't stop it!" Elijah yelled form up on the rock jetty.
"Neither can I divert it! This monster is somewhere out there in the depths!" huffed another one of the mysterious heroes beside the one behind me.
"Dam it! With him up there we can't find it in the water and none of us can do anything." The one behind me growled, she had gold streaks running through her hair.
"Give everything flammable you've got to extinguish that wave! Vault her up above with everything; the height will give her the chance to pound it back into the ground." The golden haired one ordered her companions.
The wave was looming over us. No matter what Elijah did the wave kept on prevailing. My body started to feel lighter; dizziness clouded my fading vision. My legs wobbled. I thought I felt myself hit the sandy ground but above me now, hovering over my face, was the girl with the gold streaked hair and pale blue eyes. She looked familiar.
My eyes closed and the blackness came.
"Jaimie! Try and hold Charli up there! Ember, can you try and change its center of gravity!" a shout rang out.
"I can't divert it. I can't hold it back anymore either!" another shouted sounded, ringing through out the darkness- this time far away.
I opened my eyes a slither, the giant wave was still threateningly closing in on us and the academy. I brought my eyes upwards, the figure who had caught me was now looking down at me.
"Ice. Tell him." I mumbled, "Tell Elijah he needs to freeze it."
She jolted in shock underneath me. I had just revealed I knew one of their secret identities. I faded out of consciousness, back into the blackness again.
I awoke with a start, jolting out of her grasp. I took my her surroundings once again; bewildered by what I saw. Then, I turned to my acquaintance.
"Who are you? Really?" I asked, astounded.
"That I can't tell you. I'm sorry." She stated.
"Then tell me how Elijah became-" I was cut off by the one with fire powers.
"Watch out!" she screamed.
My whole body tensed. Then I froze. Rigid. My movements were sharp and stiff.
H-how?
I knew that voice.
It. Was. Charlis'. Voice.
"Charli........H-how is. How is this- possible. How?" breathlessly, I said as Char landed in front of us.
A rouge part of the wave splashed near us, sending a torrent of water, equivalent to a swimming pool. It would have washed us away if Charli had not used another superpower granting key and burnt the water into steam by sending a blast of fire in its direction.
"I can't really explain right now Ky. Aqua, let's try again!"
"You got it, Scarlet!" Eli called.
This was it. The wave kept on prevailing even though Charli and Elijah were giving everything they had at it- I could see their energy depleting quicker and quicker by the second. They only had one last chance.
Something flashed in the corner of my eyes. On the sand where another two super hero's lay from exhaustion. I inhaled a gasp when the green streaked and red streaked haired one's disguise vanished with their coloured lights. Instead of the disguised super heroes. I saw. I saw, two more of Charli and Alexs' friends. Jaimie and Ember. My eyes darted to Charli and Elijah, then to Jaimie and Ember. Both the cousins were superheroes.
The wave loomed closer. And closer.
Something manifested in front of me.
With a flash of zulki blue blinding light a key like Charlis' and bracelet like Alex's appeared.
Expect the woven material was black and the same colour as the light. A light, ice-like colour. The key was the same. The same design as theirs; the only difference was that my key was the same colour as the light and it looked like it had been frozen.
suddenly words came in to my mind. Ice linked.
I know what I have to do.
I slipped the bracelet onto my right wrist and tapped the silver circle with the iceberg.
A little flash of Zulki blue light answered. I revealed the biting of the key before I placed it in the morpher.
"ICE! LINKED!" I shouted.
With an other extensive blaze of zulki coloured light, I transformed.
My hands shot out, palms facing out wards towards the torrent of water and I froze the Tsunami.
