Jack's POV

I couldn't belive it. Our team won! Elijah fist pumped the air beside me, yelling something no one could undrestand.

After the photos and trophies were taken, all of us were told to hop onto the bus that brought us here. The whole game, I had been scetching parts of the action and well.... mainly Eli. He was so captivated by thr game he never noticed me staring.

As I was about to head towards the gates of the hockey fields I saw Alex, she looked determined to do something the way she was walking. Her strides were long and stiff, shoulders square and her pace was rather quick. Managing to give her the book with my sketchs in it sent a chill down my spine but warmth to my heart. The mere fact that Elijah would see them sent bright pink onto my cheeks.

Looking out the window and getting lost in your thoughts is almost as good as looking at your book and forgeting what to do on an hour long bus ride.

All of a Sudden the bus lurched forwards, brakes grinding as we skidded across the bitumen. Some screamed and squealed.

"WHAT THE HELL!" Someone shouted from the back.

"LOOK!"

"IT'S THEM."

"NO WAY! GUYS, THOSE MYSTERIOUS SUPEREHEROS ARE IN FRONT OF US!"

"What the hell are they talking about?" I exclaimed, poking my head into the isle.

In front of the bus was at least two of the elusive superheros people had seen around fighting off these weird shadowy creatures. Before I could put led on my paper they dissapered.

The bus was evactuated and we had to walk back to the turn off point for the academy's road. Most complained- I did as well, just not verbally- but I saw more of an artistic opptunity than a chance to complain. As I was busy scetching, people complained all around me.

That was, until the Superhero with naturistic powers appearee in front of us, dropping from the sky. Vines rose from the ground, weaving between each other and around us. Just as they created a roof over our heads something landed on it with a heavy thunk.

Whispers echoed from outside this protective cage but no one could catch onto the words being spoken. I tried my best to record every detail and event in the back of my book, detailing as much as I could so I could sketch the events later but it was hard when people were all around me inside thise vine cage and no clear view or way to hear oustide.

The vines retreated. People gasped as two new superheros stood in the place of Alex and Chalri.

"     "

People tried to take photos and videos but they dissapered before most could unlock their phones. I had most of the interaction written in my book but one little detail was bugging me.

Why hadn't they spoken? Why was the nature Superhero the only one to speak?

As I went further into scribbling down the details one particular thought came to my mind. "No way! They're the samw height as Charli and Alex! And both of them, we never heard walk off!"

The crowd split, allowing me to break free of the confined middle. I saw a chance, so I took it. Sprinting with an object in your hands is harder than Charli, Jaimie and Alex make it look.

"How does Alexandra do this with all that gear?" I huffed, chest expanding  rapidly as I hung my head between my hands on my knees.

A giant shadow appeared in the tree line. The mystery superheros used their powers to bring down the monster. Fire danced across on of the womans palms, glowing a dark blood red it was so hot. The air pressure around us droped, then, with the stength of cyclonic winds, a gust of wind roared past me, coming from nowhere. Taking the flame, the gust of wind ploughed straight into the body of the shadow creature. Burning it from the inside out.

"What. Are you, doing?"

Jumping so high, I would have been able to jump over a horse, I squealed as my book fell out of my hands and the person who had spoken stepped in front of me.

Knowing silver eyes raked over me, the odly farmilar glare feeling too farmilar. That voice..... I swear I've heard it before.

"Go back to your group. And get rid of those sketches." The mystery silver-eyed Superhero woman ordered.

I practically grabbed my book and ran.

By the time I reacher the bus most people had lined up to get on board. Jaimie and Alex where checking the gear but Charli was no where to be seen.

"Where the hell were you!" Jaimie growled once she saw me.

"Running off like that could have gotten you sirously injured." Alex's stern voice sounded more like I was being scolded by a demon.

"H-how do you know?" I tried to counter.

"Don't even try deyning it. Jack, people saw you sprint off!" Alex stated.

"At least I didn't dissapear like you two!" Once the words left my mouth I wished I could slap myself.

Both girls paled.

"We didn't dissapear. The superheros picked us up and brought us back the side of the road at the turn off. We walked all the way back here just to find out that no one had left. To our fucking luck we don't have to walk the whole way back!"

Geez... Alex was mad.

"Where's Charli?"

"With Kyia. Gone to check if Howards was alright." Jaimie explains.

"Come on you three, the bus is about to leave!" Eli's voice startled me.

He was poking half his body out of the door of the bus. At his words the engine roared to life, a puff of the black smoke of doom left the exhaust pipe.

I hate it when people stare. But when a whole bus full of people you know and have been in classes with for most of the year stare at you, it's a whole different feeling.

As the bus began to move and continue down the road to Riptide Academy, I began to sketch out the things I had written down.
