We're Gonna Need A Spotlight </3
"If it's gooey, then it's not done." Hope says behind me. We were in the kitchen decorating cake, it was Hopes idea. I poke the cake with a toothpick and sighed when it wasn't finished. "You are you sure cake decorating counts as a talent? Especially when the other two aren't here?" I asked as we stood up, Hope suggested that we just team up together, but it's just been me and her in the kitchen for at least an hour. "The boys will be here eventually, I texted them so don't worry. Plus Landon told me he doesn't know karate, then he stepped on my feet during salsa, and then both boys straight up refused to try synchronized ribbon dancing. And don't forget the juggling you hate." She said and I laughed and nodded.
"Cake decorating it is. Sorry I asked." I giggled and she smiled. "And you know what? Your gonna like it." Hope says before throwing flour at me making me gasp. "Sorry." She laughs and just stand there smiling like an idiot. "I like whatever's gotten into you lately." I chuckled and she walked up to me. "Yeah?" She asked then before I knew her lips were on mine. I didn't hesitate to kiss her back and lifting my hand to her cheek and pulling her closer by the waist. She smiled as she pulled away, looking up at me. "The only thing...that's would make this day better ...is if we went and got rid of the urn." She said and I immediately stepped back.
"Why in the hell would we want to do that? Did we forget what happened when the human stole and started this whole thing, because I do." I said and she shrugged. "It'll be fun. It'll be like a road trip. We'll just grab the damn thing and take it wherever it lead us." She smiled and that's when I got a feeling that somethings not right. "From what that Necromancer told us, Malivore is where that leads us, and we have no idea where that is. Are you feeling okay?" I asked putting her face in both my hands. "We can talk about it on the road."I- The cake." I gasped seeing the smoke and went to grab it.
"Oh, god. Hope can you get the vent?" I coughed as the smoke hit my face. Hope went to turn it on and shocked herself in the process. I jumped up and cringed when a worm flew out of her ear and onto the table. "Oh, my god! Amara." Hope says clinging to her ear. "Ew, ew,ew ." I gagged. "What is that?" She asked before I stabbed it. "Have you seen Wrath of Khan?" I asked before dropping the knife. "We should find Dr. Saltzman." She said and i nodded before we left the room.

I walked back stage to find Alaric , but I haven't been able to find him anywhere. "Hey." Josie said grabbing my hand and I stopped. "Hey, Jo. I thought you were avoiding me." I teased. Its just that ever since she's gotten back, she been super shy and I can't figure out why. "I was. I mean, I am." She said rubbing her thumb across my knuckles and I raised an eyebrow. "Well, I hate to tell you this beautiful but your not doing a good job at it." I said.
"Maybe I'm sick of always doing a good job." She said taking a step closer to me. "Do you want to get out of here?" She asked and when I thought I was going to say no, I suddenly felt super energized. "Fuck it. Why not?" I shrugged and she smiled and took my hand and we both ran out. I completely forgot what I had wanted to do just five minutes ago, but finding the urn with Josie seemed like the better choice. We both walked out to the woods and Josie broke the spell around the cabin where the urn was hiding.
We walked in and Josie faced me. "So, are you and Hope a thing now?" She asked and I smirked. "Maybe. Are you jealous?" I asked. "Why can't you just tell me?" She asked and I leaned over and kissed her. "What do you think?" I asked and she smiled and cupped my cheeks and kissed me this time. We pulled back slowly and then I turned around and the urn caught my attention. "There. That's the urn." I said and she smiled. "Let's go. You drive." Josie says and I nodded. "Not so fast, Thelma and Louise." Hope says and we turned around. "Icaeus ." Hope says blowing me back and I fly into a wall.
"Sorry, Amara." I hear Hope say. "You shouldn't have don't that." Josie says before I black out for at least five minutes. "Amara. Amara, wake up." I opened my eyes and see Hope, Josie and Lizzie standing above me. "Are you alright." Jo asked and I groaned as I sit up. "Yeah... what happened?"I asked and Lizzie point at the smushed bug across from me and I cringe. "That was in me?" I asked and they nodded. "I'll tell you about it later." Hope said helping me stand. "Honestly. I don't think I want to know." I said and the girls laughed as we left the cabin.

We got back to the school and everyone was getting checked up on, apparently the whole school was nearly possessed by unicorns warms. Alaric made an announcement that the talent show will start over since half of the students were possessed during their performances. The vampires did a sit in protest and Rafe and I just gave up and juggled, I was in the crowd waiting for the witches to perform. Hope stood next to me and it was clear that it was tension between the both of us but neither of us said a word.
Josie then walked out onto stage and into the spot light, Lizzie told me her plan and I was so happy to see Jo finally getting the attention she deserves. "I thought that I earned it..." Jo starts to sing nervous as I smiled into my hand feeling a little nervous for her. It wasn't long before she got comfortable as the crowd cheered for her and the witches dancing behind her. "C-can we talk later?" Hope asks tapping my shoulder and getting my attention. "Yeah, I would like that." I said with a light smile and she nodded before we both turned back to Josie's performance. "That girl you knew, she's ready to ignite. I'm stepping into the light." Josie finished and everyone clapped.

After showering ten time, I finally left my room to see Hope. I was determined to tell her how I felt and that the kiss we shared wasn't just a kiss to me. I rehearsed my speech in the shower like a maniac, even repeated it as I dressed. I nervously walked down the hallway and when I seen her door I paused, hearing another heart beat. It didn't take a rocket scientist to know it was Landon. "I don't have slug envy or anything, but why do you think I wasn't infected? I mean, it got pretty much everybody, except Lizzie and she had the bracelet." I hear him say as i slowly make my way to her door."Unless something's just wrong with me?" He asked and I hear her sigh. "I don't, I don't know." She said
"oh, come on. Professional monster hunter Hope Mikaelson doesn't even have a theory?" He asked and I rolled my eyes, this guy makes me sick. "I guess I'll add it to the list of unexplainable things about Landon Kirby." She chuckled lightly. "Listen...I was being ridiculous all day. But I was happy. The things I said, how I acted... maybe the only thing that's keeping from being happy is me." She whispered and I couldn't take it anymore I took a deep breath, held my head high and walked in. "And what makes you happy, Hope?" I asked gaining theirs attention as the stood from the edge of bed. "Amar-." Hope tries to explain but I wasn't quite done.
"Did flirting with me make you happy? Or maybe the kiss? Did that make you happy or does he? I think it's time you tell me." I said and she stood in shock. "Actually, I would like to know that too?" Landon said slightly raising his hand and I rolled my eyes and look at Hope. "I can't act like everything is fine. For the sanity of my heart and for the clarity of my mind, i am confessing the truth... You're the only one who I wouldn't mind losing sleep for, the only one who I can never get tired of talking to, and the only one who crosses my mind constantly throughout the day." I said a little more dramatic then in the shower and I continued when she smiled softly, so I felt that was a good sign.
"You're the only one who can make me smile without trying, bring down my mood without the intention to and affect my emotions with every action of yours. You're the only one Im so deadly afraid of losing and the one I want to keep in my life, for however long that might be. So, when you figure out if you feel the same, you know where to find me." I said walking out. "I'm sorry Landon- Amara wait!" I turned around to her rushing to me, I couldn't help but fell relieved when I seen her. Before I could even ask, she crashed into my chest and pull me into a deep kiss, he hands in my hair and mine rested on her hips pulling her closer.
